  • Watch the Strings and Things band perform the instrumental Celtic/Irish fiddle song Catharsis with violins, cellos, and harp!
    Strings and Things band combines the musical talent of the Crichton family and the Cylwik sisters. They enjoy putting together arrangements for songs of various genres, but remain true to their love of fiddle music. From ages 12-20, both Christian homeschooling families have been playing music together for most of their lives and use their talents on multiple instruments to bless audiences at community events, churches, nursing homes, and other venues in the state of Washington. Visit their website at www.thecrichtonfamilyband.weeb....

    I think you did a great job. Have been trying to find a good video of Catharsis to send on to a friend of mine (who plays with the Red Hot Chili Pipers), and of all the versions of Catharsis, I liked yours the best. Great job!

    Great, but this tune was written by American fiddle composer and instructor Amy Cann of the Putney School in Vermont, so it is not Celtic/Irish, though admittedly in that tradition.

    WOW! Like I love how the strings vibrated. Is that because of the frame rate you were shooting in?

    • @micahreimerfilms
      @micahreimerfilms  7 лет назад +2

      Thanks! No it's not the frame rate, I just shot it at 30fps and used a high shutter speed, around 1/1000sec

    • @davidharman4078
      @davidharman4078 2 года назад

      It's a strobe effect which results fro the difference between the frame rate and refresh rate of a monitor.

    WOW is right! Is there more that this group has done? And if so, when and where can we find them? This is just great!!

      Gregory Texeira Yes, there is one more music video of them performing a different song, but it hasn't been posted yet. I'll be uploading that within a week! I'll make sure you see it!
