      TheDIYandPianoGuy I’m still saying up my options, annoyingly my trusty Aldi table saw failed after 5 years of constant use. It was upgraded with a decent fence etc. Thinking of the Axminster craft saw. Too many to choose from ranging from cheap to overpriced.

    Having assembled one, when did you realise you lined up the front and rear rail incorrectly? I did the same and lined the blade up with the 0 on the rail. But it is supposed to go with the split in the rail. Thankfully, i noticed before i finished putting both rails in.

    Hi - really interested in buying this - but lumberjack out of stock now until mid august - also the price seems to have gone up a bit in the last 2 months - coupled with delivery it comes in over £900 now. not quite the "bargain" they were originally.. looking forward to your video on how you're getting on with it, as that may sway my decision ! keep the video's coming.

    • @paulf4401
      @paulf4401 Год назад

      Just got one of these, doesn’t give the table height in the online advertising and was disappointed to find it’s actually 37 1/2 inches stood on its legs. Haven’t tried it running yet, but feels way to tall for my liking being 5’8. This height must be designed for someone 6 ft plus. I wanted to build an out feed as my work station, but at that height it’s going to be really awkward.

    Bought an evolution table saw and it was a pile of phish. Bed of the table wasn't flat, sliding mitre wasn't level with the bed and the fence was off. Plus 10 other things. Swore I'd get a cast iron table instead of cast Alu. This looks the bees knees. That induction motor does sound good. Thanks for the review.

      I have had an evolution rage table saw for a year and have found it very poor for ripping anything but the smallest planks. Despite the blade, fence and riving knife being straight, it always starts to run out after the blade. On closer investigation there is a large amount of play with the motor mounting. I videod this and sent it to them but was told 'it's supposed to be like that' 🙄 Had a similar 'customer service' experience with Ryobi too. Wonder how Lumberjack's fares?

    I'm looking to buy either this saw or the Axminster Craft AC254TS. By the time you add on the stand and mobile base for the Axminster both saws are a similar price. I've watched reviews on both saws and it's hard to choose the better machine. Could you tell me the height of the saw table when it is raised up on it's wheels as space is limited in my garage and it needs to fit under a bench when not in use.

  • @markywellsboy2182
    @markywellsboy2182 3 года назад

    Great video on the build etc.
    The main issue that I have seen highlighted in table saw reviews, even the "upmarket professional" saws, is that the fence very often kicks slightly out of square when it is secured and that the mitre slots are either sloppy or/and out of square with the blade/each other.
    Either that, or there is a whole lot of tweaking and minor modification required in order to get it to run square. Not really satisfactory for saws costing a grand or even much more.
    How does this one measure up on that, because in my view the whole point of a table saw is to be able to make repeated square cuts, every time?

      Like them, I'm dying to purchase what could be the best buy in an entry-level cast table saw, so I'd like to hear "all" the issues you'd address/improve if you were in charge of building the TS1800 version 2! (I've seen a vlog on a Charnwood w629 and I'm hoping you can give us the working summary of your TS1800 saw in action!) Thx, Jim

    Hi ye looking at this a while back, think its a exact copy of an American table saw - Rigid perhaps. Anyway how well are the mitre slots machined? ps is it a 16amp requirement or normal household supply?? ps good video quite entertaining too :)

    • @simplycampervanconversions
      @simplycampervanconversions  4 года назад

      Christopher Claudio Skierka hey, yes this and the rigid are basically the same. They’re a re sell shell and a few companies sell the saw with their own colours and logo etc on.
      The mitre slots are machined great and slide really well.
      It is just a standard 3 pin 13 amp household plug.
      Thanks Lee.
