Wow cracking job.
Thanks Martin 😁. Still a way to go yet, but I'm getting there 😁👍. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Splendid job and very entertaining!
😁 Thank you very much Michael. Glad you liked it 😁👍
Wow! What an effort - so well done.
😁 Thanks Norman. It was 100% worth the effort. Its now months later and the table is still excellent 😁. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Looks good don't envy you the hours of sanding you had to do but worth it in the end.
Thanks 😁. I'm sure all the hours of work will pay off 😁. But it's a great way to get to know a new tool 😁. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Hello Frank,
The cast table top of the table saw is now very clean. Sparkling. A nice clean. a good renovation. Congratulations. (Behind-the-scenes images were good) See you. big greetings....
Thank you 😁. The hard work is rewarding and will hopefully make me respect the saw a little more. Thank you so much for watching 😁👍
Nice job 👍👍👍
Thanks John 😁. Still got a way to go yet 😀. Got to do all of the alignment next. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Great video , just managed to buy a used one on eBay tonight needs a fair bit of work to it , especially the top going by the pictures I’ve seen LOL , I’m sure I will be viewing ya videos again once I start renovating it thanks again
😃 Exciting times, it is well worth spending the time on the top. It makes all the difference. If you have any issues and I can help, just let me know. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Will do thank you , do you have a product list of the spays you used , tools inc the wire brush attachment
Etc etc , thanks
@@spicystealth4285 🤔 I don't really have a product list, just basically what I used in the video. So WD40 for some of the initial sanding, then water with the higher grit wet and dry. All the sanding discs were fairly cheap ones from amazon. But a good idea to use a spray with PTFE for the internal mechanism (to avoid sawdust sticking and turning in to a sticky paste). The wire brush was also from amazon and only cost a couple of quid. But try and get a good quality machine wax to finish the top. Hope that helps 😁👍
Looks fantastic - you can really see the difference you've made though you might need knee pads now to get under it! Look forward to seeing it in action, I think it could make life much easier. Thanks for sharing so much detail of the work you did.
Thanks Ben 😁. Hopefully my blades will arrive soon so I can run through the alignment... then start using it 😁👍
Steller job Frank, given it a new lease on life.
Thanks James 😁. My blades have now arrived so I can do the next bit of the setup. As soon as I can get back out in the workshop. But that may be a while yet. Thanks for watching James 😁👍🇬🇧
Brilliant results frank it looks great 👍 the outtakes always make me laugh 😅🤣😂
😀 Thanks Dan 😀. It's coming along nicely... but it's so big I need to crawl under it when it's across the workshop.... better get myself a hard hat 😂🤣. Thanks for watching 😁👍
@@frankslittleworkshop ill send patch my dog with his tie mate he'll sort you out lololololol
@@Thesidingsworkshop 😂🤣👍
Great job Frank 👍👍
Thanks Ian 😁. Still a long way to go yet.... but I'm getting there. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Lots of good tips in how you went about things.
Thanks Colin 😁. Hopefully someone can get some useful tips from it. But it's all fairly straight forward..... but time consuming. Thanks for watching Colin 😁👍
Looks like new condition after all your hard work look's to be a tight squeeze to get past it but at least it fits in your workshop look forward to your next update on it cheers mate 👍👍👍
Thanks Trevor 😁. Hopefully an update soon on blade alignment and setup. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Hi Frank... well done... it looks amazing now... that was a lot of sanding... worth it though.... take care...All the best.....Andy
Thanks Andy 😁. So so much sanding. But the end results are starting to look like all the effort is worth it. I can't wait to start using it. Thanks for watching Andy 😁👍
Mate that looks so much better. Like night & day. Got yourself a cracking little saw.
Thanks Dave 😁, I'm loving it already... and I haven't started using it yet. Blades are on order now. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍
Great job there Frank, looks like a brand new table top that. Seems you got yourself a very nice but of kit there 👍
Thanks James 😁. It's starting to look good. Let's hope it performs as well as it looks 😁. Thanks for watching James 😁👍
Looks as good as new! Nice one Frank
Thanks Keith 😁. It's getting there. Still not as nice as your Axi but I'm trying to make the most of it 😁. Just watched your zero insert vid again as I need to make one soon (Nice to see the yellow shorts made a guest appearance 😂🤣). Blades are on order so hope to use it in anger soon 😁. Thanks for watching Keith 😁👍
Really enjoyed that video. You showed just how much effort you've gotta put into loooking after your kit.
Thanks Ian 😁. It's probebly the most expensive thing in the workshop, so I need to look after it. Thanks for watching mate 😁👍
@@frankslittleworkshop No worries. If you don't mind me asking. How much is a second hand saw? Maybe I should be looking second hand, instead of brand new?
@@essentialhandyman Hi Ian. The price all depends on what you want. I specifically wanted a 10" cast iron unit. Initially I couldn't afford a new one, but by the time I saved up enough everything was out of stock or on back order or doubled in price. So it's taken two years to find this one. I got it for about £850. But if your lucky enough to find a used one it will probebly need work doing to it. It all depends on what you want. Hope that helps Ian 😁👍.
Great job Frank it looks almost new ! You’ve made me think a quick wipe down of your old saw isn’t enough 🙄 so I’m going to do a deep clean 😃 but probably not as good as you’ve done 😂😂👍
Thanks Steve 😁. I hope she is serving you well 😁. It's probebly the best way to get to know a new tool by cleaning every square inch of it...... before the years of abuse and neglect start 😂🤣. Thanks for watching Steve 😁👍
I’ve just found the same saw for £400, needs a load of work but I’m keen to do it
😃 £400 sounds like a massive bargain. Its a great machine. Well worth taking it on as a project. I can't think of a better way to get to know a tool than to strip it down to nothing and building it back up. Good luck if you take on the project 😁. Thanks for watching Jim 😁👍
If your hand sanding you should have the mortise rail in a slot being sanded with the rest of the top. You may have wobble issues with smaller cuts if you don't. It also helps as a marker by moving the rail from slot to slot and turning it around.
i would be well happy with that looks brand new well done young man
Thanks Jim 😁, not quite new, but it's getting there 😁. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Now that was a undertaking mammoth job but very nicely done, could do with my dewalt dw745 having that done to it
😁 Thanks Sandman 😁. Is the 745 a cast iron top?. If it is then you should give it a go. If it's cast ally then you may need a different approach 🤔. Thanks for watching 😁👍
@@frankslittleworkshop sadly its ally
@@sandman2651 🤔 I'm sure it must still be possible to surface it a bit. Probebly worth a bit of investigation. Thanks again Sandman 😁👍
Smooth as a babies bum 😀 great work Frank. Remember to stock up on sanding discs 👍
😁 Thanks for reminding me David 😁. That's the kind of thing I forget... good job your here 😁. Thanks for watching 😁👍
Well impressed with that frank. Looks great in my mind. Yes you are right it’s one big table that.
I no how you was feeling after all that sanding. Been down that road😃
Thanks Mark 😁. I'm surprised you couldn't hear me sanding at all hours 😂🤣, I think the whole of the county could hear 😂🤣. Thanks for watching Mark, stay safe mate 😁👍
@@frankslittleworkshop 😂😂😂 I think I did😃 ditto mate👍
Shite job to do Frank but great end result, she’s a Bute! 👏🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Hours and hours just vanished doing this, but it's well worth doing.... once 😂🤣. Thanks Wayne 😁👍
Frank, YOU need a bigger workshop LOL
😂🤣😂... but then it wouldn't be "Frank's Little Workshop" 😂🤣. Hopefully one day I will have "Frank's Medium sized Workshop"... I will need to re-brand 😂🤣. Thanks for watching Kevin 😁👍
