I was watching the Japanese Twitch stream live when this happened and he won the Japanese fans over and they were cheering for him to win.
They called him Shujinko too in the chat which means "Main character"
@@darkherostardustchannel3699isn’t that a Mortal Kombat character? Lol
yes respect, and the response to that is making a video saying how an american (a colonised land) is better then the people who created the franchise
its like western mainstream media, always biased/racist to china/russia/iran, watch on THEIR news networks its just normal news, none of the biased narrative and hate
in the west: "and how china is failing and arresting this person or detaining that person", watch chinese news, is just normal everyday news
@@kobold7964the word Shujinko means protagonist in Japanese.
@@kobold7964yes, from MK: Deception, and he’s the literal protagonist in that game.
Imagine getting knocked down to losers and literally your first match is against Kazunoko and his crackhead cammy
Cammy got addicted to crack at one point? Is this canon??
The most wholesome fgc moments is LI joe evo run and Lil Majin evo run.
Now the phidx run is up there, Arslan then chikurin and so much emotion after each win
@@clubnightparade the angry bird one was pretty wholesome too
mike ross's top 4 run for me
@@senbonzakurakageyoshi92goichi’s was also great, and I love the justin wong popoff after he won in mvc3.
You forgot Tokaido EVO 2017 run.
Eita is my favorite part of all this. Dudes almost cheering him on the entire time whenever Joes getting hyped.
I love how respectful eita was, raises joes hand after he wins
Forreaaals. Eita didn't even have to do that. Just another great layer added to the moment.
Defeating kazunoko was the actual victory....
Man is the beast....litterally
When Nash was viable... the good old days.
LI Joe's run was so amazing! I love the guy. I think he is now a commentator/host, etc. I saw him at EVO.
I remember meeting/hanging out with him at Evo 09 and Evo 10. Really cool dude.
He is the host of EVO now
I used to work at Yahoo Esports and watched this live ringside. It was the perfect tourney to kickoff the SFV era
That scene of Joe popping off after the Eita win...is LEGENDARY
Your commentary is amazing -- I've never played or watched any fighting game videos and I was hooked from the first 60 seconds from your commentary alone.
I felt the exact same way I couldn't agree more this guy's good at what he does
Thanks for not letting people forget this moment. First year for SFV EVO. Great work!
Your channel is one of the best in the FGC. Keep up the good work dude! These videos are awesome
Hard agree
Joe is also the person that made Sonicfox realize he should probably wait another 5 or 6 years to play SF again.
Hey, can I have context on this? Would love to know the story lmao
@@mrpinguimninja yeah definitely where’s the update?
Really good job with these videos. The FGC has been such a place of joy for me for so long. Thanks for doing her justice good sir!
Dude! More of this. I watched this live but your commentary was excellent. You really enriched the experience of watching a classic match back. Perfect timing too, an explanation of a play which is incoming then a beat, and then that play. Brilliant. Instant subscribe and hope to see more ❤
I love that when LI joe was celebrating taking a game tying the set eita celebrated with him
LI JOE's run is so sick; tournament organizer AND pro player.
I was at this evo... man it was so fun.
Somehow this is a LOT more impressive looking back at it due to the fact that SFV's Psychological warfare was even more intense in some ways in that era than its successor...LI Joe the true American hero of Street Fighter!
YO THAT HAT GOES HARD IMA NEED THAT
L.I. Joe Satriani
Noice.
😂
No kof breakdowns? That would be awesome man and it’s an untapped international viewer base
you never miss, man
babe wake up new papalobster just dropped
EVO 2016 had so many great top 8s
This is my first time seeing Nash gameplay, and all i could think is
IS THAT A GENOCIDE CUTTER???
And that's why Dapvip is still my favorite UMvC3 player ! He may not be the best, but his play style is really awesome !
I will have to agree with the other comments that your commentary is exceptional.
First time seeing your videos. So so good man. This needs more views!
That Subscribe button with the Nash Sonic Boom was cool.
This video make me want to play SFV a little bit.
I forget if it was evo but his run in SF4 the one tournament was so hype. When he brought his dad out with him, shit had my choked up.
2:34 omg this editing
Wolf Slayer Ninja in this year's combo breaker is worth analysis
LI Joe is such a nice and wholesome dude you can't ever cheer against him.
Another little neat L.I. Joe fact: He's handsome
Opinions can't be facts 😂
sorry, its a fact
Watching his run live through winner top 24 was amazing as well.
He's from Long Island too 💪🏽awesome cuz I'm from there too
This is the guy that famously wouldn't pick a top tier
Nash was viable back then and def was part of top.
Yeah Nash was actually insane before the nerfs. Infiltration made people realize how good he actually was @@cooltron
nash was literally the best character shut up lol
he's still the guy that famously wouldn't pick a top tier
@@PressureCooker69 Oh so you mean someone who doesn’t win anything, gotcha. We got plenty of those already.
Heartwarming 🥹
Surely He wouldn’t throw a 3rd Time
Nice video dude!
Love how Joe's dad looks like Hercule
Its crazy that he legit is playing audio of them saying Eita's name multiple times and still chooses to mispronounce it lol
Eita is pronounced "ate-tah," but yeah his ken was wild and very entertaining to watch in vanilla sfv.
Nah bro he's UHMERICAN he has to pronounce it the UHMERICAN way
Not everyone knows how to pronounce foreign names.
@@plabcentral630 how about listening to the EVo footage lol they pronounce it correctly
@@Af0 some people just can’t pronounce things correctly and people like the nitpickers like y’all will just have to get over it because bitching is not helping anything.
@@plabcentral630 If they're supposed to be making a documentary about the FGC, then knowing how to pronounce a Japanese name should be mandatory seeing as how a majority of the best SF players are Japanese.
Or we gonna start saying "Daygo Yumeeharrah" and just say it's ok because it's a "foreign name."
Why was Nash nerfed? From what I'm hearing about him, Nash wasn't THAT good on release, but he was cool and people just labbed him a lot.
He benefited a lot from the input delay making his dash almost impossible to react to. Also if you were tricky enough with his trigger you could get some big damage or a get out of jail free card. He was good but he was more of a player matchup character.
He was considered "broken" once infiltration main him.
Nash was ridiculous in the early days of SFV. It got figured out pretty quickly.
It was the input delay ircc that made him really strong in vanilla SFV. They nerfed his dash ircc as well as the input delay being reduced didnt help him. S2 was a lot more characters needed explosive Vtriggers which Nash didnt have. By the end of the game like CE update Nash was solid again
Welp having someone analyze your fighting style is a strat too. Better to be an all-rounder in this type of gamws
Damn this got me emotional
You mean how an American got lucky 😂
Wake up babe, fresh papa lob drop.
Bro you should break down Justin wong vs too much damage. The end was so hype.
That was an epic run!
great vid
Nash is Charlie from old Street fighter?
Wtf does Joe friend chanting in the background have on
i would let mika get in close
i'm sorry i can't help myself
This is the longest 15 minutes of fame I've ever seen.
That's bc it was 17 minutes and 23 seconds.
LI Joe winning was the greatest Evo moment I'd seen
dope video
I NEED MY BOI NASH IN SF6
0:55 came in like a slave owner
you sound like the animator spazkid lmao
I honestly thought this was RealLaw at first😅 LOLOLOL
I found a video of lil joe at a kncoked loose concert lol
This was amazing!! And God I hope they bring back Nash in SF6, I feel like hit kit would be incredibly fun and fitting in this new iteration of Street Fighter. I know Nash is super unlikely but then instead finding a new character that his spirit could live on through like they did with Kimberly for Guy. Like how cool would it be for Guile to have a son who is hybrid charge/shoto character with flashy blonde hair, air force type outfit, and is a part of the "new generation" and is close friends with Luke. And then we could have a Ryu/Ken type of bromance with Luke and this new character.
It's not aita, it's eita.
Johnny sins of video game community
“RIGGED BRACKETS”
Was that Danny Trejo?
Joe litterally looks like joe satriani
So u make a Li Joe one but not one for Idom? Which was way more impressive.
Can you make breakdowns for SNK and Arc Sys?
I have something in the works for GG 😉
@@PapaLobster Glad to hear it.
Do Bonchan vs Alex Valle at Evo 2015
title is misleading
Can i mention how cool nash looks
Waiting for infiltration next
A forefather
Even Danny Trejo was rooting for Joe. 14:12
i hardly see him now 😢
He lost to Nash .... They beat Joe at his own game...
Love me some Nash!
He got out-Nash'd 😅
Idk man. The game just came out (4months) at the time. Everyone was still learning and I believe he was playing the cracked version at the time. Still a tough feat, but there was a lot going for him lol.
The thing thats telling is from the first evo top 8 for SFV Eita and LI Joe were the ones that dropped off the most. Idk if they just stopped playing or what (I do remember Eita having a stream match in 2018 evo)
@@exiaR2x78 Yeah Eita was relevant like some of s2 maybe s3.. after that he kinda disappeared in the tournament scene but he was still doing content for sf
Try to explain this In LoL or Tekken or other games besides how daigo Humehara for many years crush all american players in his way. have a nice day
2 is not a winner and 3 nobody remembers…Nelly taught us about number 1 💀
I thought he got second place and lost in grand finals to infiltration? Having some serious Mandela effect right now
nah. "download complete" was a reference to Infiltration's grand finals against Fuudo after resetting and taking it
The title makes it look like you are proud he beat them just because the game is created by japanese. Why cant you just be proud of him winning the tournament? This game was created so we can all be one community, but it just seems like its everyone against japanese players.
So you’ve missed the point of national rivalries entirely lol. No one dislikes the Japanese and this video praises every Japanese player. The topic is how an American player who no one thought could go far in the tournament actually do that and beat several high level Japanese players who have been the only ones dominating Street Fighter at that level. If someone keeps winning something, eventually they get people who want to see them lose, it’s just how competition works.
This was so inflated thoo lol
Lol America has so many top 5 players that this video that this video is just weird.
Eita isn't German. It's Ei like George Takei, not like Albert Einstein
What?! 😄😄 Idom is the strongest American player. This is cap
This is old
And now that SF6 is out, everyone agrees that SFV was absolute garbage because the franchise literally decided to cater to casuals and make the game easier to play.
No everyone agrees that 5 was bad because:
1-it had one of the most pathetic lunches any fighting game has ever seen
2-one of the worst balancing the franchise ever seen for 3 years straight
3- an online so bad they had to have a fan fix it for them yet they still fuc*ed it up somehow
4-an oversimplified neutral
5- a cheap comback mechanic that pretty much rewarded the losing player for losing
I can go oooooon and oooooon about what an absolute sh*t-show half of sf5's live span was
SF6 looks so much better than sf5.
And 5 looks better than sf4 so what? The games are 8 years apart of course the one on the current console is gonna look better
chat gpt script
Gotta say this game looks so stiff
He went out at 5th ? This title was very misleading
no matter who it is my dad could beat them in street fighter cause he's just better
You forgot to include the part where his bracket was full of nobodies, scrubs and easy victories just so that an American can get into top 8, which is the only way that’s possible. This dude is a fluke and the fact that he never got top 8 at any other tournament and resorts to commentary proves it. America will always stay free.
Okay man, stay seething on a feel good story RUclips video lol.
Americans are better players that the Japanese in both SF and MK. Period.
An American got 3rd place in the recent EVO and MK is not a thing in JP so where were you going with this?
@@RayzeCruxis Yup and a Japanese didn't even place in the top3. that's where I was going. Simple yet you failed to understand.
Still u mention MK for no reason like a dumbass@@FGCScrub
