"this is the shit i love" !! i hear you brother! great driving with a great sounding and handling car. crazy how many people talk shit on this platform. yet half the horsepower and running a few seconds faster than a car with 500hp.
You can use your rear view camera like the GT3 racecars. Hold rewind button and forward button at the same time then press tune button twice on the headunit. Go to cemara setting, camera setting. Whoaa now you got a useful headunit at the track day :)
@@phelpsgarage4202 goodluck also how long it took you to get your JDL headers? I ordered it 2 weeks ago and they said it's gonna take 4-6 weeks for it since it's made in order.
Cool. Only 10 hours and 676 miles from me. I will add it to the list! Thanks for the video! This is a great lower-speed track that matches the GR well.
Love you keeping a positive mind set when this guy couldn't have cared less about you also having fun. Hopefully will get to see you out there some day.
That looks like a fantastic track, you definitely can't miss that opportunity! I'm so curious how it's going to track after the turbo and tune - it'll be exciting, that's for sure!
Dang man, watching the videos between you and Joe really make me want to track my car. I’ve got a base c6 LS3 mansmission with some bolts on. I’ve never been around a track but I feel confident that I could jump right into an advanced track day instead of wasting time/money on the intro day. What’s your opinion on that?? Did any of those guys there seem to do the same(never track but went to advanced track day)? By the way I’ve been there for coffee and cars and I’ve watched pretty much every track day video here I could find - not a lot.
If you haven’t been on track I wouldn’t waste your time or others time by jumping into an advanced track day. it looks easy but I promise it’s not.. you’ll have a bunch of fun in beginner or intermediate. once you feel comfortable driving at the limit then yes go to advanced. Yes I feel people join the advanced group and should not be there.
Nice video, your car was one of the loudest ones out there. Always knew where you were on track. Definitely some interesting cars out on track but my group was pretty friendly. Apart from getting gapped by the Tesla lol
Your fried SloJoe should follow you around the track, and maybe if you have a communication system, he can get better. Looks like you were trying to get through a sea of road/track cholesterol with most of the cars out there . One of the guys on another forum is working with an engineering firm to develop the oil sump system I've described to you and others which will cure the oil control problems in the FA24.
Best gr86 content on RUclips. Great work!
Thank you! Wish they all felt the same way 😂
Badass content.
It’s not the car, it’s definitely the driver
Thank you!!

I’m not the best driver but it’s what I’m aiming for 🚀
"and I just like talking shit" same brother same 😂
😂 just don’t be a ass**** about it
Great driving and looks like a great track! Can't wait to visit at the next open track day!
Same! I can’t wait to go again

Yeah, this track flows nicely
The Vertex wheel is fantastic 👌
It feels nice!!
I want to do a similar build with a gen1 I've never tracked before
IMO I would track the car stock and slowly build it up to what you want

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. And I can’t wait for the turbo!!
"This is the shit i love!" 👍
😎
Thanks for another fun video. The turbo will help minimize the faster straight line cars from getting in your way.
That’s what I’m hoping for!!
@@phelpsgarage4202 going wider once you get it??
@@L86END wider?
@@phelpsgarage4202 wider tires* i realize that could b interpreted so many ways.
@@L86END I would like to, but don’t have a ton of space left. I can push a 18x10 and try a 265/35/18 tire
Great video! The track looks fun. I’ve been pretty interested in it. Hopefully in the future they can drop the price a little for a pubic day.
Thank you! I recommend going.
19:08 Thought the rule was no drifting on track lol
lol I wish I could drift
Awesome video!
Thank you!

@@phelpsgarage4202 I was in the yellow Supra, not nearly as serious as you guys.

I gotta get my BRZ tS up there HMU for next track day

You saucin Rob??? Looking stout.
😂 eating and lifting 💪🏻
Any issues with the car while tracking it? Heavily looking into the gr86 but worried about the oil pressure issue.
Nope! Good oil with an over fill and a baffle plate. I also have an oil cooler. Boosting it soon 😎
Thank you :)

Yes I believe we are close to having a solution for that
What is the toggle switch you installed below your AC for? I think I missed that update :(
It’s to turn on/off the Accussump
Let’s fkkin go!!
I’ll keep you posted next time I’m out!!
How much are the tickets for this place? Ive been wanting to go but the prices seem so expensive
It’s a bit pricey $500
My unit at the Motor Enclave is for sale if you are interested
I would love that but I moved
@@phelpsgarage4202 good reason to visit lol
Bunch of clowns at that trackday. People running parade laps. Base Caymans can run 1:25's there
Yeah I think a 1:25 for a Z06 was slow. My best was a 1:22. I believe I can go sub 1:20 with more seat time.
That ZO6 driver is SLOW SLOW.. edit they’re all slow😅 the downfall of this track will be the rich slow guys sadly
We’re heading to Sebring in a few weeks to get my buddy and his Z06 up to speed 😎🚀
