The medical applications for Neuralink are the most exciting, IMO. Disabling pain receptors for those suffering from chronic pain, curbing mental illness, etc.

Since I was a kid I loved technology and became fascinated with the concept of Full Dive Technology(yes I'm an SAO fanboy) and Artificial Intelligence. Now I am 17 year old Highschool student applying to UT Austin in the hopes of becoming an engineer. I want to help change and shape the future of the world as we know it. I want to be there to watch the future of technology unfold itself and want to be deeply involved with it. I want to work for Neuralink or a Big A.I. company to help shape that future. Also I love gaming and Virtual Reality so...this kind of makes sense.

This all depends on where in the brain the electrodes are placed. This application places electrodes in the motor cortex. I'd prefer electrodes in my cortex.
