    looking forward to hearing the verdict. I've got all of my carpet out now for sound deadening, cleaning, etc, and this would be the perfect time to get the crusty body mounts replaced on my 2000

    I was surprised at the quality of the bushings from energy suspension. Really happy with the master bushing set I got from them a long time ago! Great video! 👏

      Was there a real noticeable diffrence over the stock replaced?

      @@efil4kizum I’d say a bit less body roll for the body mounts. Hard to say because I did so many other mods at the same time though. My bushings were pretty worn though.

    I've done the rear mounts to undo the sag which lead to contact between the lift gate and rear bumper but I've thought about performing this mod. Great to have this video as reference! Thanks Timmy and Sean!

      What symptoms are you having if any that you would need something like this on your rig?

    Great video! I’ll have to get the rest of the kit. I’m currently running the rear Energy Suspension poly bushings. These definitely help with those that are running an aftermarket rear bumper!

    This is something well worth doing. Especially if you've never done it before! This is definitely a worthwhile mod/maintenance task.

    Keep in mind the squeaky that will result from this. I did my truck with all poly and now sounds like a model T pulling up

    • @efil4kizum

      Is it real noticeable,the squeak?

    • @nolibs45
      @nolibs45 3 месяца назад +1

      Yes. I did pretty much my whole build with poly. Heavy greased at install but it wears off. Truck handles great but noise.

      I’ve had mine on for 6 years. Still no noise but I used copper anti seize not the line they supply

      Only one of mine made noise after a dry install- the one right under my left foot while driving. Still have to get back in there and lube them up.

    Curious, what differences did you feel with ride quality, city vs off road? did it feel tighter similar to the control arm poly bushing upgrade?

    Really great vid… this leaves no questions as to what this job entails, soup to nuts. I’m super curious on your thoughts about the ride quality with this new mounts after replacing the old ones. Let us know ASAP!

    I did this a few months ago. But I'm back east and every one of them was rusted and busted. The kit doesn't come with new bolts, so I had to buy them.

    I'm actually doing this job with OEM replacements. I've searched through the FSM digital version and can't find the torque spec for the mount bolts. Is the 25 ft/lb you mention unique to the poly bushings or is that the original spec? Thanks!!

    • @TimmyTheToolman
      @TimmyTheToolman  2 месяца назад +1

      @davidc5316 That's a suggested spec from the makers of the poly bushing manufacturers. When we did a body lift years ago, we also couldn't find a suggested torque spec for the body mount bolts in the FSM.

    Was there a noticeable improvement or a change in ride quality?

    • @TimmyTheToolman
      @TimmyTheToolman  3 месяца назад +2

      It’s subtle, but the body has less movement, which can help a lot with the body flexing into aftermarket steel bumpers that are connected to the frame.
