    There is no competition I would take Hyundai any day over those other brands based on my 5 years width the Ioniq and a Kona since March. I am convinced the Koreans fit their cars with magic battery elves (no doubt related to Leprechauns). I charged last week and the GOM was showing 363 miles.. I then went on a 140 mile trip mostly on motorway (sitting on 70) and the GOM accuracy only dropped by 25 miles. Hyundia know how to make EVs, so yes this will be at the top of my next short list

    • @NevoEVReviewIreland
      @NevoEVReviewIreland  11 месяцев назад

      Agreed, great battery tech and efficiency. This is a little larger so the extra weight will hinder the range magic

      Currently 2 of my favourites. Tough to compare. KONA is slightly better value, Niro a slightly bigger boot. KONA slightly more powerful. I feel the Niro has slightly better spec with the option of cooled seats etc (trim and price dependant)

      I’m not sure, the TMY is a bigger car, closer in size to the Ioniq 5. Tesla doesn’t have anything in this segment yet. Hopefully Hyundai will sell this cheaper than the base models of TM3 and TMY. It’s one I would consider in a year or two. I like the combination of smaller size family hatchback with decent range.

    I know it sounds odd, but I’m thinking of getting this or the new upcoming Tesla M3 sr.
    The only downside of the Tesla is that it costs 50% more to insure which is £2000 over 5 years. The kona will depreciate quicker but is a good buy after the first year or two, but the slow rapid charging is an issue for me.
    Or, maybe ill get the ioniq 5.

That other car I could see weren't dogging were they. ;) Not to worry about continuity, this isn't a feature film. :) It is on my shortlist along with BYD Atto 3, but my concern is interior colour, heatpump inclusion, towing capacity and roofbox, very soon it's launching here is my understanding so far all the #burningstuff versions have released yet it's built on a EV first platform so not sure where Hyundai's loyalties lie sometimes. Although ID.4 is coming in July next year would prefer Tavascan but that's not til 2025 here.
