Agreed on both accounts, though my performance was the same between the two (and I’d even say there are things I prefer about the Luger) the P38 is simply better in some regards (namely that a little dirt or sand wont just stop it dead)
The P08 is not a Nazi Pistol the P08 is a modified Version of the P04 only difference is the Caliberthe 04 firing 7,65 Parabellum and the 08 the 9mm Parabellum and the production start of the 08 was 1908 and the Imperial German Army taked the P08 in service the P08 was produced from 1908 to 1944 and over 4 million were produced.
Hey Thomas! What about the Belgium and Polish entrants lurking in the background? I learnt to shoot of German marked Browning. That would give both the P38 and the PO8 pause for thought.
That is almost exactly what I paid actually, and that was after wading through a sea of them that were over $2k (some better, some worse, this was the best military example for the price)
@@GreatNorthwestWeaponry at least you got a good deal! But man, I wish I had 1300 to spare, then I could finally get that TIG welder to weld up that SKS and AK receivers AND get the barrel to finish my PKM too lol.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work, I’m gonna get a second mag and see if that’s the problem. I could use a spare anyway. If it’s not that then it’s the latch itself, which I could get a spare for as well
as much as the luger is a wet dream pistol the p38 makes more sense and at the risk of triggering my fellow gun nerds im saying its best pre beretta 92 9mm made
That is definitely a bold statement! But it is definitely amongst the best of it’s time, the only competition would be (in my mind) the Radom Vis, 1911 and Hi-Power
@@GreatNorthwestWeaponry Would you say that Type 14 Nambu with good ammunition could fit that criteria, the sights on it are the best of the war next to the P38
To much talking without adding value. Give us information about the pistols. Why do you have a Luger P08 Vs Walther P38? When were they used and by who and why are they often confused. We don't care where you are or who is hunting near by. Thank you.
Luger for the looks, Walther for the functionality.

Honestly I prefer the looks of the p38.

Oh I’ll definitely be putting both head to head with the Radom Vis, don’t have a Hi-Power yet unfortunately but as soon as I do it’ll be happening 👍🏻
Luger P08? I imagine you paid a hefty price for that, couldn’t find one for less than $1300.

Great day in the woods!👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
Nice shootin TomTom!
Thank you sir!
Two beauties !!
Thank you sir!
Is it just me or is the P.08 really awkward (ergonomically) to shoot two handed? In the one handed "antiquated" pistol stance, it feels so natural.
I’m gonna say it’s not just you, it definitely feels strange holding it two handed
What gun would you recommend me HK45 Tactical V1 four 1000 or SIG SAUER P226 LEGION, ROMEO 1 PRO four 2000? , and walther is better.
Nice vid but the background confuses me are you reviewing guns or cows?
Background music* I’m bad at typing
Lol
lol as in it's bad that he didn't use some cheesy buttrock guitar intro?

The p38 no slide stop after last round?

@@GreatNorthwestWeaponryTT-33 also
TT-33 was definitely a great pistol

I love my Type 14, but they have some serious flaws. I think with some improvements it could make the list
You can field strip a p38 in one
Min vs Luger
I actually managed the Luger in under a minute (P38 was still quicker but there is proof of my claim, I have a bunch of Field Strip Shorts)
Rather take luger p 08 over Walther p 38
