Really excellent Harsha, I through back my memories, I visited to Dommeti vari meda, with my father in 1991, its wonderful experience. so many people studied in D.V .SETTI high school and they settled in various grand positions. My father said that, venkata reddi garu supported so many people who came from the poor background. My father also alumni of the high school.

Wow andi , my mother was so happy to see the building. It was her grand mother's house. My great grand mother In her marriage she got 200acers. She was venkatreddy gari brothers daughter. Nice to see vasundhra peddama, mangayyama peddama, Gopal Krishna pedda nanagaru house. I saw this building in my childhood. Baburao annayya I remember all. Yes even now we have the jewelry from rangoon black stones, shells etc. Many people is to leave there. Joint family.Many are connected to this buildings as cousins , brother, sister families etc.
Nice to view this antique building. Since Indians used to visit Burmah ( now Myanmar) during British regime, sri Reddy garu might have gone there for business in 1840s & returned by 1850s & the anchor after inquiries says the building was constructed in 1853.Since then 5generations have sprung. The 5th generation must be active now. Apart from philanthropic works, late Sri Reddy garu constructed a marvel. This building is equivalent to a Zamindar's palace of those days. I wishe the anchor should have inquired about the name of the clan person in the photograph, with likely year of photography. Nice effort. Congratulations!

All joint families and relatives of our Dommeti family. I am Guttula Rama Rao gari daughter second son. Played cricket in the opposite ground to this building. Great history and sweet memories.
