One of the best parts of being single is being able to figure out who it is you truly are. What it is that makes your soul sing. Being in a relationship can sometimes muddy those waters. Having the opportunity to learn about yourself, grow, embrace your strengths and weaknesses, find how to be CONFIDENT, STRONG, HAPPY- all on your own is an amazing feeling. Having the opportunity to do that first is truly amazing, i think. :)
How to cultivate self-love is something we all need to learn because it all starts from that. Instead, to wait for another person to save us or fulfill us, we need to take responsibility because it is our job. Generations are raised to seek for the other one, to seek entertainment outside, to seek validation from outside to seek everything from others... The perfect recipe for misery. Took me 32 years to find a commodity in being myself, stable in myself, with a good income and the realization that I really don't want to waste myself or my life and time with anyone unless there is a compatible person with values and a similar outlook. We are enough as we are, so please anyone who aches for a relationship, dig deeper in self, love is there waiting for you to find it.

I’ve watched Halle’s videos off and on for about two years. The crazy thing is that we probably have very few common interests, yet her videos are always very beautiful which is something I admire. This was probably my best Valentine’s Day and it was alone. There is something romantic about being comfortable alone and loving the optionality being single gives you.
I think everyone should love Valentine’s Day, instead of thinking as it as a couple day I just say it’s love day and use it as an excuse to love anyone, this is my first Valentine’s Day single in two years and I was lucky enough to not be alone for it but even if I was I still used it as a day to just love people

I LOVE Being Single...I mean, hook ups are cool from time to time when I feel like it; but otherwise, living alone, Netflix, homework, work, conference calls, UFC and boxing on the weekend with friends, spending 100% of my money on myself??? Travel when I feel like it, anytime? Staycations on a whim? What's not to like? There is a bias in the USA about "coupling" hopefully it goes away as people become more educated,..that's a relic of the industrial era.

In the past, I've let myself become lost in the thought and obsession of others, whether they are kind to me or not. But the last few years have been different. I know where I am and where I stand, I know that I am loved and I deserve that love, and I know that I am the most important person in my own life, because I am the one observing, but also controlling myself. I love myself and all the things I think I am and all the things others think I may be. I have learned to accept life and how others and I live it. Being alone is freeing, I am not lonely, I am happy being alone, theres definitely something beautiful in being alone, it's an art that I believe everyone will find and learn one day, and hopefully master. Life is a long journey, so we have to appreciate the things that make us happy and content along the way, but also appreciate the things that make us sad or angry, because in the end, we will learn from our shortcomings, and our mistakes.
Eating dinner all by my lonesome at quant Italian restaurant, while sneaking a peak and reading a book 📕 on “toxic relationship”… but for later…I do look forward to watching this vid ov’r a nice cup of coffee or tea…my guess is this vid will add to the concept of the positivity of solitude vs the pains of feeling lonely. 🙂🙃🙂

Halle- relationships between men and women are built on mutual misunderstanding. Sometimes it feels so good to feel special we are afraid to ask more questions. Then you learn this lesson- sometimes you have to get to know someone really well before you realize you are really strangers and exit visas are eminent. I have a respect questionnaire that I give a woman who says yes to a second date. The name of the questionnaire is to respect the most valuable thing a woman and man possess- their time--- we do not get that back, do we? The questions are designed to help me decide whether she is worth pursuing. Maybe you should come up with a R.Q. when you start dating. If you do not know what you want in a partner, start designing the R.Q. by what you know you do not want in a partner. Happy hunting love...
