this procudt is a gem .. like you said. .i came from using vinyl for over a decade and this was the greatest thing to hit the market. . i love it. . i mean if i am playing a 2 or 3 hour set, i dont have to haul 3 record crates across the country with me. . just pack up my laptop, this little box and i am ready to go. . great product. . peace.. .The Eturn
Good stuff, thanx for that. Ive done more reserach since posting, and its fair to say the jump in the last 10-12 years in the DJ digital world is huge, but for the old skool DJs theres still hope you can spin your wheels of steel!! Good work, and all the best
Great video, thanks! I never knew about the feature on the control vinyls for scrolling through tracks or that you could flip the vinyl to play the next song, that's mental! Really good design there.
In 2010 it seemed as though it would be discontinued, but in 2011 they released version 2, which has four decks and is said to work better as a DVS (haven't tried the control vinyl myself as I use a controller). Torq 2 was last updated in November 2011, but they released no new hardware with version 2, so as an all-in-one solution, it might not be so practical, but as a software solution, I love it. They supply mappings for most popular controllers out there.
Great vid fella....I have a question and input from other djs would be great.... I stoped DJing before the whole digital age hit the decks. 12 years later... i want to start playing again for myself. I see vids on u-tube of people using CDJs, and for me its seems to have taken away what mixing with decks gave you. The DJs using CDJs seem robotick! just pushing buttons etc. This of course is a personal opion. So question is > decks with the digi software in this vid? > or CDJs????
Great video! Can you use a third deck - using vinyl or CD only so no need to go through Serato? I am just about to buy a new mixer and have SL2 already. I have a CDJ that I'd like to add to the set up but know SL2 only has two channels. This third channel won't need to access the digital tracks.
Good evening, can anyone help me? I have a sl2 serato and live locking, use with an i3 note, and would like to know if it is possible to work with songs like pendrive or just like songs that are in the note library? When I try to load like songs do hang a white screen and hangs, you have to turn everything off and on again. Somebody help me, please ...

Keen to hear your views on Virtual DJ and Torq systems.

As long as your mixer has a spare channel, then yes - just plug it in as usual.
Can you use digital vinyl systems with any mixer/turntables? Or do you have to buy specific ones for it to work? Thanks
I want to buy that!
Good video
So I want to play real vinyl, do I have to unplug the SL2 or can the software be bypassed?

I think about buying the SL2 or Traktor A6
Some people says SL3 has bugs and SL 2 doesn't, is that truth?
