    You're watching a #DarkArchives 20/20 presentation. Now ask questions!
We will be prioritising answers to questions that we receive before the live events begin on 8th September.
    How do I ask questions?
    1) Via Twitter. Simply include the #darkarchives hashtag. You can also include any of our speakers by including their twitter handle, if listed in our live programme.
If you have a longer, informal or other question,
    2) via DA20/20's private forum on Discord. You can either send the question directly to a forum moderator, or leave it as a post in the relevant subject channel. Just click on 'Discord' in the registered conference area and log in with your credentials. Additionally, meet and chat with other participants!
    3) Email us directly, at: ssmll@history.ox.ac.uk
Although these are the most effective channels, we will be scanning other social media for comments, including RUclips comments sections (where comments are open).
If you know someone who still needs to register and get instant access to all videos, details, and access to the live events on Zoom from 8th September, they can do so via:

What is the significance of the horizontal bar half way down the vertical stroke of the capital letter "I" in the text graffiti? Why is there a preponderance of the letter "I"?

Thank you for a very interesting and informative talk. I am currently looking for graffiti in my local area as a hobby. I noticed, in your video, a preponderance of the letter "I" amongst the text containing initials, sometimes with a short horizontal stroke half way down with longer, matching bars at the top and at the bottom of the vertical. What do you think is the significance of this?
