Smart Forfour Brabus - Colt Ralliart with European Flair

- A couple of years ago I reviewed a Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart, and I must say I was quite impressed... with their ability to build a car's interior so poorly. But hey, it drove great! And the Smart Forfour Brabaus is basically the same car but it's even uglier and makes a bit more power so let's see what it's like.

I have a standard one of these - 2007 Smart Forfour 1.3 5 speed manual. NZ new. Awesome car to drive. Feels solid on the road, peppy enough, handles well. 149,000 kms and still going well.
Very nice!
This is the only Smart car I've seen that I would consider buying
I agree, bruv!
Yeah agree
Never knew this car ever existed, great review as always.
Thanks man!
another amazing review
Thanks man
Hahahahah good old Ara Weiti, ripped that road 100s of times, what a cool road.
Yesss it’s excellent
Great review! Love my Smart Forfour Brabus - uniquely quirky
Very quirky for sure!
_lol, __0:25__ nice rear window sticker 👏🏼.. overall not a bad looking machine👌🏼_ …. _cool review_
Haha yeah it’s quite a funny sticker
Great cars! Really recomanding people to get one
They’re pretty cool
What a superb car - not sure I'd want to be driving a Skoda Octavia instead though - far too boring
These are certainly very interesting haha
@@KiwiCarLife mine has 210bhp, lightened flywheel, coilovers - yeeeha
*was owned by Mercedes
Nowadays, it's a 50-50 between it and Geely.
Yeah it was owned by Mercedes at the time this was produced
Yeah they can get pretty serious power out of 1.5's these days. I recently swapped my CM2 for a FC1 Sedan, and that L15B7 can be tuned to 220hp/330nm without bolt-ons, more than a stock K24. 250 horsepower if you replace the intercooler, intake and exhaust manifold. Only with the manual though, the CVT starts to buckle above 300nm.
Yeah it’s impressive for sure!
The problem now is getting body and trim parts as there are not many around. I was thinking the other day driving mine on road works "If I get a stone through the windscreen would I even be able to get a windscreen?"
Yeah that’s a big problem with both nz roads and rare cars like these
Wonder what's up with this one, mine has zero rattles, close to 200k km. I had a Clio 172 with half the km and rattles everywhere lol
Such an underrated car
Yeah haha a clio rattling is hardly something new lol. Perhaps this one has had a hard life
Small turbo cars are always fun
Yeah I reckon
Good car till it comes to getting parts can’t find a flywheel for this at all and I have searched everywhere
Really? Can’t just use a Mitsubishi colt Ralliart one?
Come drive my colt ralliart. Full bolts ons in Auckland.
That would be fun!
No rattles thanks to noisy exhaust 😉, gearshifter sorted w $2 bush
