Maybe the best city builder ever made. Hope development continues for a whole, some DLC comes with new mechanics, and a sequel with the same eastern bloc setting eventually gets made.
Agree💯. Add some good graphics, fix some bugs, make good optimization and this game will be the best city builder strategy
@@uedlam to accomplish this list they need to rebuild the game from scratch xD. Optimization is as good as it will be, game engine limitation doesn't allow proper multithreading. Better graphics? they can remake some better quality skins for vehicle, buildings and etc. but thats about it. Bugs? yes they can fix some, but that's about it. Overall the game is almost at final release, and will get some DLC later, but it shouldn't improve much from what we have right now (hopefully I am wrong). Realistically we can expect great improvements only in sequel, WRSR2, but god knows when it releases if releases at all.

Dont buy it if you want to be able to take every other citybuilder seriously afterwards. This is without a doubt the most complex, and indepth game of its class. I love it, I love the arguably aged graphics that have their own style and fit very well. I love the jank than happens sometimes and i love that i sometime sit for hours just watching my trains and produktion lines. I love this game since the first day of early access, and to be honest it is the game that gave me faith in the model of early access games once again.
But its wery good game

It's indeed hard to go back to other city simulators after trying this. It's so complex, so realistic, and so satisfying when everything goes like clockwork. One of its main features is the construction system, like, you can still build stuff instantly like in any other city builders, but you can also play realistic mode and watch every single truck, bus and machinery build every single one of the buildings and works of your cities. Hell, that's something you don't see anywhere else.
SimCity 1, 2, 3 and 4 had that, its really neat and a lost detail in 99% of city builders these days imo.
Well, if there were ever an excuse to go all in on micromanagement, this is it. 😁
Cities: Skylines was awesome…but this game merges almost everything I loved about that game with an elegant economic & industrial simulation that has me absolutely hooked. I have a hard time going back to zoning again when the industrial and economic simulation in this game offers so much more challenge and reward…and the trains are INCREDIBLY well implemented in this game too! I have a hard time going back now. The detail, the complexity, and simplicity of this game is so well balanced and challenging, and the game isn’t even finished yet!
Skylines sucks. Hopefully whoever made this game can make a more traditional city building game.
@@Gigi-xr3qs Why? I played Skylines for hundreds of hours and it may be a simpler game but it exceeds what modern city planner game industry has put over the years.
When I first found this game years ago I carelessly thought it was just a gimmicky City Builder, but on a whim I still bought it and damn it, if it hasn't become the best dang city builder I have ever played. I'm always eagerly looking forward to any news or updates. Chef's Kiss, I hope more people find this indie gem.

This is legit the best city builder on the market right now. Nothing can even come close to the depth of it's mechanics.
This game is much better and advance than Cities Skylines and, of course, SimCity.

Its not perfect, but its most perfect than anything.
Anyway I want more urbanistic things such as 3 lane roads, fine tune traffic control, tuning traffic lights and some more urban decorations. But, I think, 3DIVISION will suprise us in future with more updates, of course! Long live Soviet Republic!
The best city-building simulator and one of the best games of recent years. The game has improved tremendously during the early access period. All thanks to the incredibly talented and responsive developers and a hugely friendly and inventive community. Now it's not just a game anymore, it's a club of fans of economic simulators, cars and vehicles, architecture and so on. Dozens of people, including me, have been inspired by this game to study 3D modeling, programming and game development. Thanks for that, 3Division, and I hope the series continues in the same way.
I'm old enough to remember when the first pre-early access trailer came out. The hype was real even back then. And while it took a while, the game has always seen progress being made. Well done Comrades!
i was so hyped when i saw the first trailer..... i was so scared when it was released as a purchasable version on steam but.... after 2400hours of gameplay.... ...its WORTH IT :D free patches, bug fixes expanding the whole game! mods... tons of fukin goooood mods!! this is the most worthy game on steam since 2010....
The funny part is that at the level of attention to detail this game would be not only the best planned economy, but will also the first city builder to get market economy properly too😂
P.S.: it's mostly a joke about titles like Tropico dropping good ideas from previous titles in favour of streamlined and simplified package. Anno 1800(and Anno series in general) is also about planned economy, but not on a country scale, but inside a corporate structure. I can't recall the last time I've seen a strategy, city planner or even tycoon game not with a planned economy. You guys at least didn't come to this by accident. I love your game and other series's I've mentioned. It's just... idk, sad that you're an exception?
Good point, well made. Victoria 2 modelled the free market extremely well. Victoria 3 became USSR simulator.

late 1970th - free market used to be overeffective and it was a terror of the cybernetics: free personal market drives people to have wealth and high level of life that was used to be am existential horror for elderies from Kuban and UA mostly.

This affects the life in huge amount of ways, one of witch is "If one live better then other - you need to steal first". I think there should be a few more types of houses, for example Ukrainian-style panels, Hungarian-style, etc. And even I, as a Hungarian, really hope that more Hungarian vehicles will enter. E.g.: Ikarus 415,412,435 or from trains: M41, V43, V63, Bhv wagon family. But these are only ideas that many Hungarians would be happy with. But even without them, the game is 10/10. My favorite game. Thank you: 3DIVISION

Эта игра - шедвевр среди градостроительных и транспортных игр, она смогла объединить все механики! Транспорт, планирование города, производственные цепочки, всё это максимально погружает в игру, порой даже начинаешь волноваться за жителей, как за реальных людей из-за реалистичности. И конечно же стилистика игры для меня, как для русского человека очень родна и близка, поэтому, наверно, эта игра запала мне в душу с первого взгляда. Спасибо 3DIVISION за такую интересную, необычную и не побоюсь этого слова родную игру!
This is one of the best games i've ever played! It's insane how 3division made this with such small team, while there are big studios that can't delivery simple games.

A wonderful but complex game and that is why I love it. The best part is, you can start off simple, plop down buildings in "buy" mode instead of having to make or import the needed resources. Add layers of complexity in whenever you like, start without having to worry about water supplies and waste collection but add it in with the tick of a box. The only down side is trying to drag yourself away from playing it!

I've planned since October to buy the game by Christmas, this hypes me even more, I've seen the game first in 2020 and it so much evolved that we could even call it a simulator. Can't wait to build the perfect Soviet Republic !

I literally love it.
Even if as player, I'm not up to the task and my cities usually ends up being a mess, I still love it.
Moreover the mod system is great, it allows me to upload new buildings and build the cities as I want.

блин, 4 года, каким старым себя чувствую. ( а вы помните, когда были только поезда и машины? а помните когда не было производства автомобилей? а вы помните когда только добавили самолеты? )
@@ziuksuomi да помню. я купил игру как только она вышла в ранний доступ. в марте 2019. по началу игра конечно была так себе и быстро наскучила, поезда без присегналов ездили через жопу)) каждый апдейт был как глоток свежего воздуха, но когда выпустил режим космонавта(реалистичный), вот тогда я завис, навернео 200 часов только после этого отыграл, при чем на одной карте, я так раньше никогда не делал, постоянно начинал заново на новой карте, а тут прям затянуло. Итого 589 часов отыграл)
i remember this game back before winterand heat and distribution offices came out, spent up to 2K hours on it since. made many failed republics so many times but its still so addicting.
and it taught me how the basics of a railway semaphore systems presumably works via lots of trial and error. very educational
Railway semaphores in this game are simple block-like systems that resemble games like OpenTTD more than real life. But that's OK. Although i hope a realistic mod comes along someday.

one year ago,my pc couldn`t support cities skylines because of his bad optimization,so instead i look around and i found this game, Workers and Resources Soviet republic,now i have 300 hours in this game and its the bets city builder i hever played,the developers are close with the community,the mechanics are excelent and i love the way you rule a soviet country. Wonderful game 100%

I was sceptic but it is already my most played game on steam. Best and most detail city builder ever made. If you like micromanagement and hate sleep 10/10 game.
I think the robust transportation network would benefit from one lane roads as bridges. They would make building highway intersections easier or at least nicer looking from a visual standpoint

Game is drowning in micromanagement (right as expected, tho), so this is essential stuff.
When i heard "Plan filled to 130%" in the Trailer, i could cry.
This is one of the best city builders I've ever played and as other people said - this will ruin other city builders for you. This is the best city builder, transport tycoon and resource management game mixed in 1.

liked city builders as a concept but always wanted a good planned economy one. while i absolutely suck at realistic this is exactly what i wanted and more. 10/10 reccomend it to your depressed communist friends in need of more hobbies like me 👍
edit: seeing that comment from the devs mentioning the possibilty of a WR spinoff/sequel... managing a modern socialist nation with modern tech like highspeed rail systems or micromanaging a socialist nation in space or something... i would get very addicted to that lol

I understand - the aesthetics of the late USSR. But the newly built houses and houses that were cared for before the collapse of the country look quite beautiful, and not like they haven't been touched for 30 years.

I remember trying this out years ago, but I was immediately turned off when my idea of having a series of train stations with either industry or residential districts around them went bust immediately because the range at which residential blocks could access services on foot was way too short, after building the basic services around the station I could only fit in a handful of residential blocks that could reach all the services. And when I looked into modding the range I found out it was hardcoded, completely unmoddable.
I REALLY didnt like the idea of needing smog-spewing buses everywhere just to get people to the local neighborhood school and supermarket, so I decided to leave the game until it was further along in development.
Based on the other comments I assume things are A LOT better now, but I need to know, is walking range moddable now?
