I love that you told us more about how this looks. Finding a way to incorporate whole group and small group in the day can be challenging. Do you by chance have a copy of the template for the homework sheet you send? I like the format of it.
@@Here2There-1 At my college they have Tickle test every Friday the instructors always win I love it because it reminds me of how much fun I used to have with my Auntie before she passed away in 2019
Good morning. I teach 6th grade (over 20 years) in a pruvate school in a urban area and this is my first year having a class where the entire class is below level by at least 2 grade levels down to kindergarten. I teach ELA and don't have books that are their level. I've always had students who were on or above and maybe 1 or 2 I had to bring up to standards. This is a first for me and I'm struggling. From last Thursday until Monday was taxing. By Monday at 10 I just wanted to leave and go home. Thanking God for my principal because she talked me through it. So, any help I could get to purchase some books would be greatly appreciated. If not possible, thank you for reading my comment. I've even implemented a online reading program that assessed them to meet them where they are.
Not a "honey bun dealer"!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hope you feel better
Hope you get well soon

I'm always so impressed with your organization. I don't know how you manage to do it all and so well!
I try to, but some weeks are just tougher than others.
On retention: the parents should be more pro-active in ensuring that their child is doing, but also understanding the homework.

I want the Judy blume series of fudge books
My printer isn’t working either. I think it’s HP. 🤦🏾♀️

It’s so hard to see them struggling when you don’t have the tools to help. I hope you’re able to find some books.
Starting with tales of Fourth grade nothing.
