I love how you lay out the organization for answering the text based questions. Very similar to what I do using the RACE strategy (restate the question, answer the question, cite evidence from the text, explain how your answering connects to the question). Recently, i changed it to RADD (restate the question, answer the question, add a detail, add a detail).
I was wondering how you teach to mastery. I’m a second grade teacher and some of my students are so behind or low or struggling whatever you want to say. I think I’d never be able to move forward if I was attempting mastery.
I love your fun way of showing the base tens. I'm going to use that when we get to 3 digit addition. I've been teaching 2nd grade for over 20 years and I don't absolutely love it!

Start with small changes. I have been teaching the same grade for 8 years. You can do it!
