I spy Joey Specter! I love that dude! I've never been to a convention, and I'm 40. I do have 700+ Nintendo games from the N64 to the Switch, but I still have more games to hunt down. Say hi to Retro Rick/Retro Life too.

NES box art was so beautiful - man. I remember seeing that Mario 3 box - when I was a kid. Just looked like magic to my 8 year old eyes.
I wish I appreciated them more when I was a kid.

For Christmas back in the 90's, I gave my brother the soundtrack for the SNES game, Chrono Trigger. It's from Japan, 3 or 4 CDs, with a booklet loaded with art from the game and tons of Japanese script that I can't understand. I bought it at and anime store that eventually closed down. Also, I got loads of Animerica magazines from there. Remember those?
What a great game! I'm actually picking up a copy of Chrono Trigger for the SNES next week. And yes Animerica WOW!

@@tommythrowback likewise, especially because I'm so impulsive. I would just want to get to the game. Same with comic books, I treated them like crap - because I just wanted to read them, no regard for the collectability of them
@@bornbranded29 how do you feel about newer stuff? Like do you save things now knowing that in 20 years it could be worth something? I’m always in shock when I see a minty NES box, but I’m also like I don’t have the room to keep all the boxes for the new stuff I buy.

@@tommythrowback awesome video. I’m a former collector and I had to stop I ended up selling all of my collection it was so hard for me to do but I needed to take my life back. People don’t realize what happens when you start collecting. I Had a very serious problem people laugh but it consumed me I Go anywhere I thought I could find something I didn’t have and part of my sickness was I didn’t look at a price tag. I literally disguised vacations with my family into video game excursions. I wish I would’ve been a little smarter about it and had fun with it because it didn’t become fun in the end. You’re doing it the right way and have a blast while doing it

@@tommythrowback we have a handful of stores but not many. The scene is getting bigger. Going to the London gaming market this weekend but that’s the only trade show in the south we have 😂. Once every 3 months

People don’t understand that that is so true. I did something wrong when I started collecting because by the end it was not fun for me anymore my whole life was consumed and nothing matter to me except video games. Especially game boys the hardest thing I had to do in my life was sell my collection but I needed my life back Cause I was about to lose my family over it. Obviously you guys are doing it the right way because you’re having fun enjoy.
