Chris Barrie of Red Dwarf fame speaking as Ronald Reagan on this track, and thanks to Trevor Horn for his awesome production skills, and that Linn Drum machine for those percussion sounds. Mad to think that even though the Protect and Survive voice was rerecorded for the track, you can still hear that chilling warning which was never released into the public due to the fear it would have caused at that time. You can still find the booklets that were printed, scary stuff back then.
The clarity and instrument separation is amazing.... I can even tell the style and size of cow bells in play .....

This is epic! I have never heard this version.
You didn’t because this version was popular in Europe but didn’t get play in the USA market. I know because I was in Europe when this version was a hit. Could never find this version in the U.S. and never heard it until now.

Dam that sounds good, (even for YT) Seperation, Dynamic range and a reasonbly tight bass. Don't remember it sounding this good. (Listning on a pair of Grado, and Cambridge DAC) I'll have to dig out my 12" and turntable and take a listen!
Old enough to remember it's video premiere on Channel Four here in the UK... sadly, still relevant...
