I add a small box of Gain to my homemade detergent (Foca bag detergent and one Zote bar shredded & baking soda) as the Gain scent beads didn't dissolve in our hard water. Works great! Foca detergent is cheap and in big bags at just about any store .99 Zote and the Gain $6.. AND THANK YOU 💯 For the 1/4 cup teaching because I go nuts every time I see people doing wash or in tutorials using WAY too much detergent ! Glad yall made the point!! Thank you for your time and video.
Sounds like you got a pretty good system. I'd say in yours the zote bar is doing most of the work. We have come upon a new solution Will be making a video on and I think it's going to be hard to beat. Make sure you subscribe to see it.
I’m going to have to send this to my friend who has a RUclips channel and does test of detergents to see how well it removes stains. I wonder how this combination will do. Great video though.
I also love and washing laundry especially if I have stains befor washing in washer just cause ..I also enjoy soaking out my stains in oxi in my laundry in sink or bucket turns my whites really white befor washing in machine
Glad to help . These products don't use the same chemicals and fragrances that brands like Tide do. Our grandchildren don't like those either That's one of the reasons we figured this out.
I think ill give a try! I've always had the impression powder was harder on your machine.... anyone agree/disagree? I want clean clothes (i don't think homemade cleaned well enough for 4 active kids... after a few months everything looked dingy), budget friendly but also doesn't trash my expensive appliance.
Pods actually are considered the most destructive to machines but when I worked maintenance at a cleaning company we had to wash rags three loads a day using a harsh powder detergent. Those washers lasted forever prob 10 plus years and we're still going when I quit.
Powder is fine . ... So is my 1970 series Heavy Duty Kennmore Washer... no issues and never any smells in the washer or residue from the powder. I even make my own homemade detergent and been good for many years. Only thing that may have gotten your clothes dingy would have been adding too much homemade detergent and always use the correct water temp for the like clothing fabric.
Do u clean you're washer out use either a wash cycle with just bleech or baking soda and in rinse cycle I use vinagar also there's cleaners u can buy to run the load a few times to clean out if not trying the ways I spoke of
I love armn hammer oderblasters.. and oxiclean oder blasters ..and foca.. aieral with Downey powder mix . And anny arm n hammer powders ..I just started liking all liquid with oxy ..smells really good and a fresh one..and actually cleans clothes pretty well..but I do love gain also most of them smell good and clean well but makes me itchy but so don't most laundry detergents even using small amounts ..but I also enjoy making my own from time to time using feels naptha bar or zote bar or flakes also have used both bars together for extra cleaning power and boarax and arm n hammer washing soda and arm n hammer baking soda too works wonders
Yeah we just found the ultimate low cost way to do laundry the video is still being recorded but keep your eye out on this channel cuz you're not going to believe the price
Actually per their mixing instructions it was more expensive for one and I have tried it and I will tell you it is not better than this and it definitely does not smell as good as this. But of course everybody's entitled to their opinion but by their own mixing amounts you use more ounces of that product per load then we do of this
Years ago I had a guy make me a wooden plaque for my kitchen. He burned any message you want. So it hangs in my kitchen with " my kitchen, my mess" written on it.
I live alone, so I can try all sorts of crazy crap and get away with it, without getting screamed at. That said, I fill my clothes Washer, set on small load, squirt in the equivalents of an 1/2 - ounce of Dawn liquid dish washing detergent, let it mix, THEN, dump in my load (usually one change of clothes). Works like a champ and clothes smell so clean. Suds? Hell ya! But suds are fun. I suppose being autistic probably makes some difference; maybe not. At any rate, I'm HFA.
Yeah in the description box of this video there's a link to our homemade version which based on Dawn as well as a few other things Dawn is actually very very good at cleaning clothes
Anyone here use Oxy Clean ? So I use to buy Oxy Clean total waste of money. I soaked a tee shirt that had an oily stain from a Burger joint . Soaked it for 3 days, yes 3 days .Yep stain was still there . Guess what I got the stain out . Hand sanitizer on the stain and throw it in the washer . So Oxy Clean is a joke . Oh and we don't have hard water where I live in Oregon .
@@giovannyplasencia it's whatever you want. This is an easy way to make a lot of detergent cheap but we also have a way to mix if you ingredients to make a detergent that's liquid please refer back to our older videos
I mix Ariel laundry powder and Oxiclean. I got a 5 gallon bucket from Home Depot with a lid and pour my mix into it.
That actually makes a lot of sense
@@thefrugalhomestead7873 I like using the bucket because the Ariel bag always rips.
Great idea. What ratio do you use?

Purex doesn't have any cleaning power, so it doesn't matter if it's cheaper... this is a great idea 💡
😂 this is true
Luv it! I already use gain and used to make my detergent but didn’t like the fabric softener. I’m going to try this! Ty!
Glad to help .
Easier to scoop 1/8 cup of each when doing laundry
That's true we just don't like having two boxes on top of our dryer so we mix them and then put one away.
I’m going to have to send this to my friend who has a RUclips channel and does test of detergents to see how well it removes stains. I wonder how this combination will do. Great video though.
Interesting a balance of cleaning and softening smell ect was what we were going for but I would be interested in stain fighting vs others as well.
I also love and washing laundry especially if I have stains befor washing in washer just cause ..I also enjoy soaking out my stains in oxi in my laundry in sink or bucket turns my whites really white befor washing in machine
Thank you for your posting this. I tried this and love it. All laundry detergent bother my daughter not this one.
Glad to help . These products don't use the same chemicals and fragrances that brands like Tide do. Our grandchildren don't like those either That's one of the reasons we figured this out.
I’m going to try this, it’s still cheaper than buff city laundry soap. Do it work in cold water?
All we use is cold water. So yes. I think you'll be impressed. We appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment as well thank you
Thanks for sharing 👍🏻 can’t go wrong with gain 🤓
Totally agree
I think ill give a try!

No febreze in our our house. Causes headaches😢
👍
1/4 cup in a large load?
Yep for regular soil
Is it bad for your septic
We have no issues with it but we have a video how we maintain our septic as well
Is it septic tank safe?
Yes
What a team!
Lol 😂
Did you look into Ariel
Yep but this is cheaper cleans better and you get a food grade bucket
ruclips.net/video/EpEKZee9R_s/видео.html
The fabric softener beads are ok for septic systems? Thank you.
The beads are made of ammonia which is not good for your septic but small amounts it shouldn't hurt it though
They didn't dissolve well in our hard water...
Thanks for the video btw.
Thank you for watching and commenting
This is awesome
Thank you
Ahem!….. Foca……. Pretty sure that’s the best and cheapest detergent!

Suds can cause problems with your machine’s pump.

Yep OxiClean is better for cleaning pipes not clothes. It also thins the material and damages it.
I have never heard of that but yeah it's pretty much garbage
It's works Everytime for me I buy oxi oderblasters
AND NO PLASTIC BOTTLES :-)
