Really appreciate you get involved in comments and such, you've got the bones of a very special game here and I'm rooting for it to succeed, the nature angle is just brilliant!
The amenity meter sounds so wonderful. Balancing your ecosystem so something doesn't go extinct or so the animals do not lack natural food. It's almost like being a park ranger. The lack of food or water meter's for the character may change but I'd be happy if they stayed gone. I already have this game on my Wishlist but it is so good to see some gameplay. I have high hopes for this game and can't wait to see how in depth the ecosystem becomes. Imagine making your own fishing ponds as well. Releasing fish into it to provide a renewable fishing spot so long as you do not over fish. Or even gardens past the idea of just planting trees. I send them all the love and support. You guys are doing great. Just take your time and take care of yourselves. A great game isn't made overnight.
After playing for a few hours I'm on the fence. I feel throttled hard by needing to constantly scour the world for basic resources. We need ways to convert logs to sticks ect. I feel we need to put the NPC characters to work somehow. Make buildings that make it look like they work as if harvesting resources while you are exploring and completing the story. As is takes waaaaaay too long to get built up and any resources. And not nearly enough storage to do it. Maybe let us make buildings that generate some resources as if they help us.
I think the comparison to Monster Hunter is a little thin outside of the "nature-heavy" aesthetic, but it still looks like an intriguing game. I might pick it up soon since it seems like a nice change of pace from other survival games I've been playing.

games in early access will always get bad reviews, sometimes just because people can't accept that games in early access aren't 100% perfect (and they rarely ever are)
there's already been two large patches released, they're working hard, and i'm honestly not having many problems with it. it's quite obviously in early access, but if you don't want to wait a year and pay twice the price, it's definately worth the buy!
@thedisgruntled8226 For the longest time, PS would not allow early-access on their platform, yet Palworld changed that perspective I guess. I'd rather spend my money on a finished product than hope a small dev team survives long enough to make their game functionally sound.
You do not need to link your epic account. If you choose not to, they make one for you without any info needed. They do this because it's easier for UE5 games to use epic for multiplayer. They've stated this on their discord.
This is probably a silly question and I don’t have time to watch the full video right now-but is there a bestiary in the game? Creature tagging is one of those random things I thoroughly enjoy
Aww man, I just discovered my idiocy. I thought I had this pre-ordered, but I guess I left it in the cart without finishing the transaction. Missed the preorder bonuses, damn it
I played on PS5 and first of all they had to bring the PS5 version to a different state from about 3 weeks ago or so, because the game wouldnt even start. I played it for like 6 hours and I can for sure see the potential and some already good things, but obviously also some annoying or bad designed things. Still I had fun playing because I saw their vision but it needs some updates before I really want to play it more because the framerate was pretty bad on PS5. Game has mixed reviews on steam, always gives me pause. Especially $30 for an indi game in early access. Indi devs, your games are not worth $30. At most they are worth $10-$20. Stop over charging for early access games. You want people to play them for feedback, and a basic stream of income. Charging half the price of a fully developed AAA game is not going to work in your favor. If it has great reviews, and you fully launch it, then yes, charge $30-$40, or even $50 if it is that good.
@@greenmind5328 You obviously haven't looked at indi games. They are not worth EASRLY ACCESS for $30, sorry. Most of them I see in EARLY ACCESS is $10-$20. Once they FULLY RELEASE they can charge more, if the game doesn't suck. They want to raise money before making a game, then they start a Kickstarter campaign, or look at investors, or even larger companies looking to pick up new IPs. If the game is even worth peoples time they will give you a ton of money for developments. This game honestly thinks it is worth more than say Valheim? Which is $20. Because I do not think so.
Most triple A games Arent Worth shit and they charge 60 and more. Lots of indie games do loads better then triple A games and 30 or even 40 is Worth it. If u dont wanna play the dont play, if u wanna play then play it and pay the 30
@@xtr33msk1ll Hence my original state meant, it is mixed reviews, it is over priced for the amount of content and lack of basic quality items in the game. So yea, Most indi games think they are amazing, most are not.
I agree with other commenters, I couldn't enjoy BotW because of weapon durability. Sadly that choice alone makes this a no go for me. It's honestly one of my very few "no matter what's" I've noticed just ruin any sense of fun, and it turns me into dreading every fight. For instance, in RuneScape I just straight won't use degrading armor as it makes me always worried if I'm making enough GP to warrant the cost of repairs or God forbid an entirely new weapon that just breaks with no repair option.
That's actually the only survival aspect in the game. Treat it like an older RPG with weapon durability, and you'll be fine. Edit: Food is only for healing and improving your ecosystem.
Then take care of your weapons it's no different from real life.. the more you use something that's going to have wear and tear. No different from a pistol jamming for not cleaning it
