Hi Norman. I enjoy watching your videos and just love your soft and smooth voice. Guess you are either a New Yorker or the New England states or Canadian, but I can fall asleep listening to you. I like rectangular watches (all budget friendly brands Limit, Jigsaw and Rotary) and find them unique albeit underrated. You really do know your watches. Anyways, please keep on making more videos. Greetings from Spalding in the county of Lincolnshire, United Kingdom
Thank you SO much!! I'm actually from WA state heh. I'll actually be doing a full video on Rotary probably next week. I love loungy Jazz vibes, so glad that mood comes across in my videos! My podcast is prob even more chill lol
Was watching the new horror movie "The State", dude in the movie had a tank watch, with casual clothes it looks great! man I'm hooked, looking for one not so expensive now lol.
@@KillingTimeWithNorman Yeah the Cambridge line it's excellent a sub $200 choice, eying the Seiko solar version and the Peugeot doctor style too :). BTW that longines dulce vida it's beautiful, the others you showed not so much. Cheers!
Some nice choices here. I’d like a tank style with a manual wind movement in the future. The ones I have now are all quartz. If I had the cash, I’d choose either the Reverso or a Cartier model.
@@KillingTimeWithNorman The Dolcevita in the sector dial is kinda next level! I’ll be trying to get my hands on both to do a review. It would be a great comparison video. Oh by the way I ended up purchasing 2 Serica watches 5303 and the Commando thanks to you. Lol Keep up the great work!
Reversos ARE pretty amazing! After trying on a Tank Americaine recently - I *might* go for one. There are actually brushed surfaces on them, and it actually makes them look even more brilliant.
Great video, I have to say the Oris looks amazing 😍😍 but then again I think I'm being bias lol. Great options 👌 longines close second. Surprised to not see Seiko in here .
Yes! I agree on the Oris. Yeah, I'll have to showcase other tanks in the future. I def see some sweet Seiko tanks come through my feeds, I'll have to include those in the next one :)
Nice inclusion of the Oris. I came across this one the other day and had no idea they did it. Sticking this vid in my this week in watches review. Enjoyed it :)
I had to send it for servicing, it was waay off. But it now keeps really good time - I don't have a timeographer, but seems to be a few secs / day. It's a BRILLIANT watch!
I do like big dates, and actually don't mind day/dates - but in general I prefer the look of a nice clean dial. And I often rotate through my watches, and it's much quicker to wake up and set a no date watch. Hhh laziness.
@@KillingTimeWithNorman I cant believe they are less than $50, im tempted to order one myself. But ill wait for your thoughts on one of Erisksen watches.
@@pseudoscientist4585 Yeah! They look good in pics. I'm surprised they don't go for stainless and charge $100. Even w/ everything else the same, would totally be worth it.... At least looking at pics lol we'll see.
Obviously I am late to the discussion. You are like me you like nice watches but don't have the extra money to justify buying the real luxury watches like that last model you described. If I was you I would pick a class of watches you can afford to buy. I will never buy a real luxury watch. I can't. The good news is that you can find plenty of homage watches even in the tank watch category that are obviously quartz watches. You can find real stainless steel case models with nice dials and hands and cheap quartz movements for very reasonable prices. I like to buy using Aliexpress. If you know what you are doing you can find nice watches and really pay a lot less for them. You don't want to pay much for the watches if you are going to have a collection of them because obviously you are not going to wear them much. I see some youtubers have 50 or more watches. Not a good idea. I love your Longines watch by the way. You don't need any more tank watches. Thats a keeper.
I've done a second video - covering even more tank-style dress watches! You can check that video out here: ruclips.net/video/u2sVWyZXJjQ/видео.html
My favorite tank style watch is the Bulova Frank Sinatra My Way with the black dial. So beautiful
Oh yeah! Those are cool!
Great idea for a video. I love these styles of watches.
Thank you soo much!! 🍸🍸

I love my 1928 Longines Cal 10.68 in 15 jewel 14K Tank Watch.... beautiful and accurate and appears very much like a Dolce Vita
Ooo! Sweet!
1948 Bulova president tank Rose gold filled blue hands salmon face what a beuty .
Oh! Sounds magnificent!
Nice review, trying to decide between the Oris Rectangular and the Longines Dolcevita
Oh man, that's a tough one! I haven't seen the Oris in person, bet it's brilliant. Buut so is the Dolce hehe

GP has a 30 mm water resistant?🤪
That shows that I watched and listened to everything on the video. Thanks for the informative vid.
You're welcome! You made it to the end :)
I like the Reverso best but that Girard-Perregaux is interesting notwithstanding the date.

Where did he find one for $679? The Rectangles I see go for $2,300
Yeah I'm not sure now, being three years ago. :/
I don't recall.
That Longines has been difficult to find. I ended up getting a vintage Tavannes.
Oh! I see a couple cool tank style Tavannes. Hadn't heard of that brand, actually. Cool!
I recently began to really like tank-style watches, I'm gonna check out the Eriksen. #SchwartzForce
Yeah - I just ordered one, we'll see how it is! I'm gonna have to revisit tank watches - there's def more to showcase. Thanks so much for watching!
Hey I have a couple questions about the longines. what problems have you had with the watch, can it be hand wound, and what is the +/- per day?

Take a look at the bulova Frank Sinatra my way watch
Oh! Thank you for that - I saw that once, think before I was into dress watches, I DEF need to revisit it. Thank you so much!
Oh yes! Niice! That's going in my next tank style dress watch video! o/
