Learning what your hair responds to is very important ( shampoos , conditioning, leave-ins, gels, serums). Short style will lay nicely when wrapped nightly. Most people think you do nothing to your hair when short . You have to maintain your hair so it’s growing healthy.

Why relax her hair? Her hair seems to grow straight from the root. I have the same texture hair and my hair gets bone straight with just a blow dry. On a positive note, her hair turned out beautiful!

I may be wrong, but I believe it’s because she sweats alot from her scalp. Even though her hair is naturally straightish, it may have a puffy look to it after she sweats out the blow dry which is going to be more obvious now that her hair is short.

I agree! But most of the time the hairstylist does this complicated styling that is sometimes impossible to do at home. They want their work to look presentable and complete and I get it. She looks greats in the video.
But I think you are right, for me this cut seemed very complicated to maintain. When she gets home that cut may end up looking more like an old lady hairdo. When I see this cut, it looks great coming out of the salon, but once the hair breaks in, it doesn’t look as good because the client doesn’t know how to maintain it.
I know plenty of older women with this hairdo (my mother’s friends). Later they end up cutting their own hair to maintain it short, they think it’s easy, but it looks so bad when they do it. 😂
-When my sister gets her haircut she ask him not to style it, but you have to request that. Plus you are sort of paying for them to style your hair. Best

Her hair cut is gorgeous. I went to the barber shop in 2017, and got my butt length hair, shaved off, so I could embrace my Salt & Pepper curly locks. I only added heat to my hair at that time, twice a year, as it took me forever to flat iron it. But after watching Chrystal for the past 10 months, I learned that I was in fact Silk Pressing my hair. Fast forward 5 years. I have not put heat on my hair at all & my hair is almost to my butt again.
