I hope you thought about this... or will consider it. .. Electric vehicles use electrical energy.... At the power plant, where coal is burned.... there are.. also... CATALYTIC CONVERTERS... Much bigger than what is in your cars, obviously. As we use more electricity, it will only consolidate it to the bigger, industrial scale catalytic converters.. It's something good to know. Do not worry.

Nice pick up. I also pulled the trigger on an ounce of platinum and made a video about it earlier this year. Platinum's price was and has been suppressed way before COVID 19 though, so don't think that's the reason it being down relative to gold. It's been below $1K / troy OZ for the better part of the past 2 years and below $1,200 all of the past 5 years. As it relates to the automotive industry, I think you might be underestimating how quickly electric cars will become common place. We'll see but might want to check out how much EV's market share has increased over the past 2-3 years, as well as government policies on EV's, like China banning the sale of ICE cars within 5 years. Also, look at how many major companies around the world are investing in battery tech and other things related to EV development. That said, one thing I don't hear anyone talking about as it relates to platinum and the automotive industry is the fact that it is used as a catalyst in hydrogen fuel cell cars. Even if hydrogen fuel cell cars don't become the norm, there's enough demand from the US, South Korea, China, and German auto manufacturers to sustain and support the platinum price for a good while to come. And your overall point stands, the ICE automotive industry will pick up again once everything else picks up. Anyway, thanks again. Take care.

Platinum is a metal not an alloy. Not trying to be condescending just giving platinum the respect it deserves 🫡
And even if gas cars decrease in production it’s value will still rise because it is crucial in the production of hydrogen power vehicles which are gaining popularity

With that being said, if palladium gets too expensive, they might switch back....

Thank you for this video. I will NOT be buying platinum now. Covid isn't going anywhere and most major car manufacturers have already started phasing out the use of high cylinder engines and incorporating hybrid models. Platinum long term is going down.
