      Better quality, purer silver- more security measures. Eagles go to be melted and it's embarrassing

    Maples all the way, until premiums come down in the Eagles. Since 2018 and the implementation of MintShield, the spotting on the Maples occurs much less. Liquidity is almost on par with Eagles, too.

    Both are premium coins with high recognition and liquidity. As a bullion coin I prefer the Maple with mint shield and lower premiums. I feel the Maples security feature are ahead of the ASE.

    How exactly is a missing Reed feature a security feature what a joke from the US mint. Not exactly something hard to replicate. They are falling far behind other mints and fast

  • @jpdurr

    That Missing Reed is one of the Lamest "Security Features" ever purported. US Mint FAIL

  • @AnxiousStacker
    @AnxiousStacker Год назад +8

    Yeah until the Eagles bump up their quality, get a real security feature and lower their price I'll only be getting a few eagles each year to keep the years consecutive in my collection, but other than that I certainly won't be stacking them. I also prefer the type 1 design WAY more and think the type 2 just looks cheap now with the clipped wing. Same goes for the gold eagles where I definitely prefer the type 1 design. The maples are more beautiful and lower premiums so I'll get those all day over the other. It's just a shame because I'd love to primarily stack my countries coin, the eagle.

    The ASE it one of my favorites , i like type 1 better but 2 isn't bad. Unfortunately the ASE has become as volatile as a crypto coin with a wide spread . Perth mint coins has taken the lead due to it at least until the ASE comes back to fair pricing. Great Video!

    My Favorite is the American Silver Eagle.
    Because of the high premiums, I have reduced the amount of ASE'S that I have purchased. Instead I have found other One Ounce Silver Coins to purchase for my wealth maintenance stack.
    My number one ASE'S replacement coin is the Kangaroos, followed by the Maple 🍁 Leaf, and Krugerrand's.
    I have already purchased a tube of 2023 ASE'S. If I can find a good deal for 2023 year, I will purchase more.
    Because of the higher premiums, I have spent more on ten oz Silver bars.
    I also have found pretty good specials on purchasing twenty Oz tubes of Government issued one oz Silver coins. Doesn't matter which country or the design.

    Why not both. Just started stacking. Mostly going for Buffalo Rounds for weight. However every 4 Buffalo Rounds I stack, I add either A Eagle,Maple or both to the mix.
    Love adding both the Eagle and Maple with my Buffalo Rounds.

    Is there a difference between 999 and 9999 in regards to either being more prone to milk spotting/toning? Is one more durable than the other?

    • @SilasMarnerAuAg
      @SilasMarnerAuAg Год назад +1

      just a gimmick to me. one more pass through the refining process. there aren’t that many uses which require 9999. example is colloidal silver. i do buy it as i like rcm and perth mint products but it doesn’t make that much of a difference to me

      Canada uses mint shield technology to prevent the milk spotting. Their old coins were notorious and that is why they did this after so many complaints. The United States or any other ment does not use this technology

    I'm gonna stay away from ASEs for a long time. For coins, there are so many other ones that are higher quality and have superior security measurements to combat counterfeits.
    For bulk purchases, rounds is where it's at. The amount you get for the same purchasing price for ASEs is ridiculous.

    I think we should pay the high premiums for the Eagles. After all, that is money you will lose when you sell the bullion. That makes it a better investment right?

    • @KevinSorbo.
      @KevinSorbo. 7 месяцев назад

      It is when you realize you can sell ASE without a 1099-B form like any other silver rounds or coins... In the end you pay less for the ASE easily with taxes in mind

  • @DeweyMilton

    Canada has the Canadian monarch, not British, on the obverse. There's a difference--same person but different offices. Non-Commonwealth countries will probably not understand--heck even a lot of Canadians don't understand!

    Britannias. Maples next. Philharmonics after that. Eagles last. When King Chuck is added to the Maple, I won't even buy. Hopefully the govt will drop the monarchy from coins (and everything else) and put something else on the back (not politicians).
