    Brilliant truck! I've done 93000km's in 2 years over a 60/40 mix of potholed tar and rough gravel in Southern Africa. Best truck ever! Light on fuel, tough as old boots, roomy and very capable in the rough stuff as well as a great open road cruiser. The Pikup s6 Karoo 4x4 d/c is my curry cruiser. Love it!

    Really nice vehicle. People in other nation are always skeptical in buying indian car because of course they are not as reputated as japanese or European ones. But a company can not grow until people show trust and buy the product the better company does in market the better their vehicles get by time.

    This video is a year old, just stumbled upon it and You've made a great review video here.
    One thing I'll say is that alot of aftermarket headunits do the same when headlights are turned on. It's an apparent safety feature that makes sure you're not blinded by the screen when it's dark. There could well be a setting in that headunit to adjust how much it will dim when the headlights are on. Cheers.

  • @garylewis9748

    Great video. I bought an S10+ and it does not have lane assist, to answer your question about that. I love the vehicle, the 6 speed manual box is super smooth. I'm sure the auto will be a big seller in Oz, as we've all turned into lazy arsed chimps and no-one wants to change gears any more. Yes the satnav screen dims on my S10 too when I turn on headlights or parkers. And my cruise control wavers at times even when it's locked in. Steering circle? Well I've driven worse. For me the positives outweigh the negatives on the mahindra. You'll be happy with it. It's not perfect but what is. And for the price, it's hard to beat. Try getting a dual cab diesel new for under 40k, it can't be done, till now.

    These Scorpio utes are tough as hell. There's a agency in WA that transport raw materials owned by a lady named Megan. They have an inventory of 4 of these mahindra utes and their odo reads 650,000 and 540,000 and the other two. And they are still going strong.....these are built to last.

From tractors and agri equipments to early Mahindra Commander and Bolero ute being driven overloaded on places where there are still no roads day in day out to our XUV500 and now XUV700...things have been really great. Yeah I bought one a few months ago. Definitely a really good vehicle but it does have some pretty major flaws. The main one being the tiptronic gearbox not being able to hold gears when in manual mode. I tried climbing Callcup hill with a moderate load at 10 psi, 3rd gear low and it was shifting to 4th. No chance! Just lucky the mirrup river was shallow enough to cross and get out the other way.

    Looks pretty nice, is there much power difference between the euro 6 adblue engine vs the older one in the manual trans vehicle? Cant really find much specs on this model. I would probably want to drive the manual one because..adblue.

    • @the_curry_cruiser
      @the_curry_cruiser  Год назад +1

      AdBlue is definitely a deal breaker for a lot of people. Supposedly only needs filling at every service interval. The manual is quicker if you drive it hard but even then it doesn't like it. For me personally it feels on par with Mitsubishi's 2.4 but less punchy than Toyota's 2.8. I haven't towed a heavy load as it was just a test drive but I am told it likes the extra weight. Certainly need more time behind the wheel.

      I wanted to do a little more research as far as actually driving these vehicles for myself but based on Friends experiences and reading forums for the last 6 months. Every manufacturer has faults. As far as the Mahindra is concerned people were saying it's good value for money but it's actually just good value fullstop. The only other close contender was the sangyong Musso but that is more of the luxury vehicle. Mahindra is more utilitarian. The Triton was a close contender.
