C-clip eliminators and a Richmond or Auburn posi and they will handle quite a bit of power. I'm in eastern Iowa and I have one from a 94 s10 ss with the factory g80 posi if you ever need another one. 2wd 5 speed blazers have the 8.5 rear axle

When you were pulling the engine, I got worried because I didn't initially see trans fluid all over the ground... but then, as expected, it relieved itself.

I have to pull the engine and tans out of my Chevelle soon. I was watching this episode, and it reminded me to go order a plastic transmission tailshaft plug. It was like 15 bucks on Jeff. Something tells me you've spent more than that on kitty litter.
Why use an s10 rear end over a 8.8 from an explorer. That’s what the s10 guys upgrade to.
I have one of those for my Grand Cherokee...its a big a$$ rear end, I don't see it fitting under there without serious modifications but not sure
If it was me I’d swap the engines put the one that’s in the crx in the vette and put that one in the crx but that’s just me the crx is cool but that vette is so sick it deserves the better engine

I'm pretty sure in another video he has an ls3 sitting in the corner. Or some type of ls. As far as a turbo goes it's easier and somewhat cheaper to turbo and ls or vortec. That would be much better for the corvette in my opinion

You may want to put a small tack weld on the oil pickup small block Chevy is well known for the oil pickup falling off

Over 40 years ago, I twin turbo charged a quarterback Ray I believe they were anyways after I put two big burn marks in the fenders because of the heat I rerouted stuff pay attention Casey
Pass, the lack of room in these cars for turbo pipes is why I sold my c3 instead of turbo LS swapping it.
You should be putting the CRX motor and transmission in the Corvette ! I see I'm not the only one that thinks this . That motor and trans with twin turbos in that Vette yeah no question .
Don’t worry about 2” of tar in the sump with the new sump you’ll only have one inch!

Don't loose my blazer. Lol. Got some crazy great builds going right now!!! You would think we we're brothers if people didn't know better because we have a lot of the same taste in vehicles!!!! Grew up with family being in car dealerships my whole life and father that was a big corvette fan and had at least one of every year in a huge metal barn. These weren't really for sale. I wouldn't say ever because occasionally he would move one if he found a better one. When I was really young I would stay out there all weekend climbing in and out of all of them. I wasn't as big into vette as my dad but had a list of favorites of course. The top one or two was a '63 Stingray, split window, silver blue not my favorite color but it was all original paint 427big block Manuel. I remember the redline tires. Of course at that age and up through my teens I wanted everything customized. Wheels, paint, exhaust, stereo, and the best way to get speed out of whatever I had. Lol. These cars were all original numbers matching cars that he wasn't gonna change and I was just not getting it then.. now I would kill for 10% of some of the cars I let go of that I had as personal stuff. I changed a handful of times a year to as many as 40 or more each year. I would just do a 6 month note on everything and throw a temp tag and a sale sign in it when I bought it. Might drive one day or months. Just never wanted to make a payment!!!! Lol. Good plan until banker couldn't hold my titles anymore so I wouldn't even put in my name ever. Miss those days. Fast moving times though!!!!!lol
Would be cool if you could find a rear gearbox/drive train from a C5 C6 or C7 Corvette for cheap. That could fit easy with easy access for repairs. The looks of a classic C2 with twin turbo and modern performance vette parts underneath is a dream car.
I'd think about a watts linkage for the rear end keeps it dead centre panhard still moves it side to side just not as much
Yea there is one on the 56 Chevy wagon in the shop, i shouldn’t need to go with one on this but if i see any side to side i might add one. They are a pain in the butt to build lol

Have you Consider moving the frame rails out to the rockers between the front axle and rear and mount your seats below them. That is how corvette did it with their frames, for the c2 and c3, and also the rest. it gives you a lot more leg room, well in corvette size I mean, you won't have the rail between your legs.
I said the same right from the beginning. The frame is all wrong. He would be better off getting a wrecked C6 and make that chassis work. Who puts a solid axle in a vette ? Great for drag racing, that's about it. This project will turn into another Blazer or Crx. Good intentions but built wrong from the start.
Or a crappy c4 chassis

Do yourself a favor and get the 8.5 S10 rear diff those 7.5s don't like power or abuse. I know they came in v6 5 speed trucks 2 and 4wd
They also came in the zr2/high rider variants.
Just saw this in the video, looks like your crank pulley is sitting between the rack and the crossmember. Is there enough room to install a belt?
2wd 7.5 S10 rear end is a terrible choice for a performance car. Not gonna last. There’s millions of 8.8 Fords out there that are way stronger. And I gotta say those little turbos are SOOOOOOOO cute.

I love your builds Casey and I enjoy your videos. I guess its my OCD but why not make everything look good? nice paint ect while it's all stripped down. I get it you're not for it looking like a show car. I just think you could make so much more money when you raffle them off. Anyways keep up the good work brother and please get rid of the pink transmission lol

Caeey i think i can help with your ls swaps i think your main problem is GROUNDS these pre 2000 cars are crazy with those you have to have have engine to chassis chassis to body body to engine ground hell even the diffs and trans like to have the flat metal ground yep alotta cats run into werid issues with ls swaps but the rubber engine mounts and all that good mess with the ground connection
Hey Casey, before you install the rear air bag mounts you might want to think about the fuel cell location. Not a lot of room back there with a C2 coupe. Love your videos!

Do a z link instead of a panhard bar. It’s a diagonal link that goes from the front of one lower bar to the rear of the other lower bar.I can’t post a pic here but look at phat phabz rear suspension setups and you’ll see the lower z link
rear end looks like a 10 bolt,they are glass and like to blow teeth off ring gears etc.....i wrecked one with a stock 305
This is never going to work as the Corvette has a perimeter frame and the floor is recessed to be even with the BOTTOM of the frame to allow enough seat clearance. Mounting the seat on top of the frame you will have no headroom. You need to stop and redesign the frame now before you do anything else.

71 ford f100 turbo, 1992 Honda accord, 1965 mustang, 1966 mustang, 1957 Chevy, 1978 Camaro drift/burnout car all were finished in the last 4-5 months.
Would have been easier to paint that engine before you bolted it into the frame
