I knew Paula , stayed the day with my family in Bath in 80's ..a very beautiful , lovely , talented woman. Helped my son with his ceramic thesupis vases on her work ...so proud to have known her , thanks to my neighbour and fellow artist Derek Saville ..also no longer with us .
My mother in law used to be her friend and occasionally sit for her. So i have a few drawings and paintings ob my wall now that mum passed to us. Its nice to understand a history behind the artist...
💓 what a powerful and beautiful story. I'm recently amazed for the thinking that painting is a hard mental and pysichal exercise you accomplish sometimes struggling with pain, tiredness, solitud...
A powerful piece of work ... " liking " it is a bit facile ... it is about LIFE about generations of the family ... how they interchange , support , enjoy , ultimately move on .
@@marksieving7925 doesnt make her british, and as a portuguese person who grew up idolising her and going to the house of stories seeing it being pillaged and her identity rewriten is painfull, she is portuguese that is undesputable regardless of where she "spent most of her life" she was still very involved with portugal, made her museum here, was an important figure in the war towards abortion so stfu
