The greatest thing about Avant version of "Sailing" is that he paid tribute to Christopher Cross and brought the old song alive in the minds of the younger generation. This song died in the mid eighties but now, there's point of reference to the original artist(Christopher Cross) that such great song was from the 80s. Great job Avant, you brought it home to ballet/R&B format. I love it.

We always drove to our next city sometimes it would be hours and sometimes It would be days en route. After praying for protection it always used to rain getting on the express way. She used to play this song all the time, looking out the window and hearing this with the rain and the freedom I had moving around is something I’ll never forget. Being in the middle of the Appalachian mountains away from civilization and being the only car on the road listening to this just me and my family. The feeling is quite indescribable, music is so magical and this song brings me back to the joy and wonder I had as a child. ❤️
