- Another hot day and another drive into the Sierras. This time we chose Highway 88 though Hope Valley and over Carson Pass. This is one of the more scenic drives in the Tahoe area and a favorite of ours.

I lived in Colorado 2007...... loved it.....miss it. ❤️
What a lovely trip
I loved this video. The scenery was beautiful and the water so clear. Thank you for sharing your trip down memory lane!
Beautiful scenery thanks for sharing. Don
Someday next year!
Tell jin I love her shirt
Great video thank you! Yay Battle Born!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hi to you both, I sure do like your music intro so much better than your last one.😁😁😁👍👍👍
Carson Pass, Ebbetts, and Sonora, are all gorgeous. Hope Valley is one of my favorite stretches of road. Dropping down into the Carson Valley on the 88 has to be home to most Redtail Hawks I have ever seen.
Great to see you out and about again. This was another great video. Safe travels
Thanks 👍
Really enjoy your videos! You do a great job. I also really enjoy the shots of the Jeep. I'm a jeeper! We just sold our sticks & bricks, getting prepared for retirement in December, and become fulltime RVers next summer.
Congrats on retirement and good luck!
@@DanJen thank you.😊
O let jen do some shutting to
I agree..looks highly overrated! Thanks for taking us along!😊❤️
Absolutely stunning!
A very beautiful area! Love these trips!
How refreshing to see beautiful scenery again! Another great video!!!
Great views, thanks for sharing
I love it up there! So pretty.
Loved the scenery, we love any body of water.

9 out of 10! This is exactly the kind of video you should do more often. Many of us live vicariously through your adventures. We love to see the places you go and share in the experience while we wait to begin our own RV journey. Add information about camping and boondocking in the locations you visit and it would be perfect.
Yes thank you. I may never get to go to this area in my travels but can see them thru ur lens. Also info on some camping would be great just in case it would work out.
We try to do these every week but sometimes life interferes.
One of our favorite places to camp and fish!!!
Thank You for sharing such a beautiful drive. Been a while since I've been up that way. Nice to see you enjoying the great outdoors and sharing memories.
Between Carson Pass an Caples you missed a turnoff for lake in the woods, beautiful tiny lake right above Caples, check it out next time
Been there and even fished it. Broke a fly rod there, just snapped in half.
Love when you film the great outdoors, another beautiful area to visit. Thank god your outside getting some vitamin D, AFTER STAYING INSIDE FOR SO LONG.
bill in phoenix. as long as i look at you it's ok, but when i look at the trees and bushes, grass it's blurry and even worse when you swing a round, i all most fell off my chair! but i did enjoy the view. could you slow down when swing a round, i love the few. love you guys
Here fishy fishy...
Any camping at those place you showed us?
Thank you for the beautiful trip today.
Don’t leave me here I wasn’t paying attention to how we got up here. This is a very nice way of showing a little area and I like the postcard analogy, very cool and fitting. Ok well I’ll just follow the other subs heading back down the hills. Catch you next time, if we don’t get lost. Cheers!!!
Since you commented, we'll assume you made it home safe.
Very beautiful area. Thank you so much for sharing. Great footage. Keep up the fantastic job 👍🏻🤩
Wow that area is beautiful! Love the water noise. Thank you for sharing this helped us feel like we got out!😊
Beautiful scenery. The water is so clear and love hearing the sounds of the water. Thank you for sharing. 😊
you left! now how I supposed get home!!
Someone will be by...
@@DanJen COOL!
So Jen the negative ions from the waterfall are positive? A Jen-Zen moment! lol. Dont normally like musical vid montages. But I sure like yours!! Thx!!
That is the main route we take to Smith Valley to see my daughter. Love it during any season. Love Sonora and Ebbitt pass also, just as beautiful
Pretty, and relaxing. Keep looking at that route. I also want to take 108 across the sierras.
Taking 108 has to be planned carefully though. If my recollection is right, trailers and large vehicles can only go in one direction.
That is true. 108 is narrow and very curvy.
Beautiful! I’d like to go. Where did you guys camp before and after this?
We were moochdocking. We took a drive up to the area.
Ah, I see now. Does your moochdocking agreement allow you to sub-mooch to a Class B tenant? I call dibs! 😎
Sure brought back some memories. I used to drive over to Hope Valley when I lived up at the south shore of Tahoe. Beautiful country.
We have traveled that a lot of times. Never did camp. But YES IT IS Beautiful
Always enjoyed that area when I was stationed at the AFB at Merced.
Have you guys ever been to the St. Francis dam area?
Well it's no longer there.
So pretty! You guys did a great job! An encounter with a beaver would be cool! Sorry we got on your nerves...glad you could track us! 😆😎
Can’t recall being in that area. I did take 89 off 395 once heading to Tahoe when I was on the motorcycle.
Nice to see you guys outside enjoying the sounds and sites. I suppose you are filming in the wind with your smartphone and it’s difficult to attach a dead cat to a phone! Lots of nice fishing areas. Perhaps you will drop a line into one of these honey holes! Be safe, have fun!
Jim Bertrand We were using our regular camera with a dead cat. It was just really windy that day.
I so much enjoying these travel videos. It is so pretty up in the Sierras. It has been a long while since I drove up that way. I don't have a towable yet for "Georgie" my motorhome.
Great video of the area. I’ve been wanting to explore the area and camp. On your drive and walk along the Carson river, is there dispersed camping close or along the creek?
Yes, there is same dispersed camping in the area.
Loving your "Travel Log videos". My favorite place in the sierras was desolation wilderness above Tahoe.
I use to backpack there. It was pristine way back then.(50 years ago)👍👍
how does Electronic Limited Slip Differentials work
I have no idea. I don't have them. I have lockers.
But did you get your fly rod out.
I tend not to buy a license every where I go. I will be investing in an Oregon license, however.
:-)))) :-))))
: )
I hit the thumbs up at 11 seconds with "Colorado is overrated!"
This year HV had been significantly impacted by the new to the mountains crowd. An unbelievable volume of garbage wash constantly left behind, leave no trace was no where in their lexicon. Unfortunately that included cutting the barbed wired fence and driving out into the valley near the bridge.
The new crowd that hit the mountains this year do not have the same respect as the typical crowd. Hopefully next year things will return to normal and the crowd will have something else to do.
The Sierra has been a disappointment in humanity.
We've see it too. Sad.
Hey, love the scenery, but hate the squeaky music.
Nuff said, KIR
I'm over the Colorado bashing.
