Vivien leigh est adorable. Elle joue tous ses roles avec intensité et vérité. On la sent proche du coeur. On ne peux s empêcher de l aimer. Si une autre avait joué scarlett on l aurai détestée. Mais elle jamais.
Her elegance is in her dancing too. When I watched Waterloo Bridge which I love and have seen many times, I was stunned how real she danced as a ballerina. I usually feel awkward for an actress to play a ballerina as it is so difficult. But not in her case. Her dance and presence are so ballet.
She is a good dancer. Watch the long shot of the dancing scene in GWTW. You can see Clark Gable's amateur dance steps and Vivien plays along without any difficulty.
I watched this film with my mother many many years after Vivien Leigh died. I fell in love with Vivien Leigh instantly. And this movie ruined me for the rest of my life because I thought my own love story will be as dramatic and fateful as this one. Alas, I never found my Vivien Leigh for Vivien set the impossible standard for the rest of other women, regardless of age, to attain. I am a professional pilot and I have traveled the world. I have searched wide and very far, and I have never found a woman who matched Vivien’s ethereal elegance and timeless classic beauty.
Wow reading your comment brings me a sheer amount of pain, as I look back at my most recent romantic entanglement with another man of the STEM field - he was a Maths/Physics guy but he truly was a hopeless romantic at heart. In my personal life, I embrace practicality henceforth I try to confine myself to men in the STEM field. However, sometimes being a law student makes it so difficult for me to accept "love" for what it means, as a concept to say the least. I've learnt that love is fundamentally illogical and that is what makes it so hard for me to accept. I love logic so how do I even attempt to be happy with love, because at its core - it is illogical. Nobody ever really "wins" or "loses" in love, and it seems to me the parties involved in a relationship can't "win" equally either. It has been proven to me through knowledge and facets of my interpersonal life that love is a liability. Apologies for the rant - It is likely I will be ending up all alone with my monies and my tangible possessions, and reading your comment made me feel so sad.
@@thinkingofthemaybes No need to apologize. On the contrary, your comment is not a rambling but a very coherent statement. Well, all I can say is that logic plays no role in love. You fall in love when you least expect it and it can come to you when it is inconvenient. It was never meant to be about conquest., although our society made it a game of winning by getting the person you are after. Everything is a game of winning and losing in our society today. As a man, I have to admit it feels like losing when a woman I am after rejects me for any reason. But that is an illusion because if you really love someone, you want them to be happy with whatever their decision is, even if that means they don’t want you. This is something that I still have a hard time completely accepting. Currently I’m going through this turmoil with a girl I fell in love with.
I associate that point of life with happy memories. Me living in a tiny apartment with a canary writing articles to submit to Discipleship Journal and hiking every inch of Glen Eyrie and all of Rock Ledge Ranch. And falling in love with my late husband.

She took ballet lessons at Roehampton
She has the potential power in her eyes. A dangerous beauty, she is.
Was. She dead
Изумительная пластика! Вивьен всегда добивалась желаемого - любой ценой как ее Скарлетт ! Могла бы стать и выдающейся балериной!

Vivien was so petite which added to her daintiness as a dancer Thank you for this lovely video
Yes, she looked like a piece of delicate china, which added grace to her movements and dancing. Thank you.
Great video, thank you
