Fable 2: She caused the whole mess to expand it Fable 3: She warns the wrong brother of the apocalypse and then tricks you into undoing her mistake, not because it's the right thing to do, but because she sees an opportunity to shine again, then botches it.
Zinc Goblin You know you can just revive the dog if you don't pick family, right? I haven't played fable 2 in a long time, but you have to sacrifice someone on that island you can travel to near the big dog grave statue thing... sorry for terrible explanation
I know I am three years late but I can't resist posting this after hearing about the upcoming release of Fable 4: She has that attitude because she is a wicked manipulator who uses people for her own ends. She reminds me of Darth Traya from KOTOR SL. In fable 3 you really get a taste of this as she intentionally shows you only half truths to push a certain narrative and in doing so is manipulating you.
I replayed this game recently, and I was expecting a boss fight with lucien, so as soon as I could, I shot him. Turns out, there is no boss fight, and I just straight up shot him, and cut his evil speech short. It made me laugh so hard.

It's the only satisfying choice. Money is easy to earn in Fable 2 and it's hard to feel emotionally attached to a bunch of NPCs Lucien killed off screen.
It has been confirmed to be Scythe, a character who appeared in Fable: The Lost Chapters and mentioned in some places in Fable III (including a legendary warhammer named after him). What is known about Fable's backstory heavily implies that Scythe is the first Archon of the Old Kingom - William Black. And he's still alive.

I'd just say to Hammer: It was not my fault that all those people died building this thing. In fact I spent all my life in making sure Lucien doesn't end with more lifes, I think that's more than enough.
I had the normal version and I would always pick to revive my dog. That disk got scratched up so in 2010 I got platinum hits. Now knowing I can revive my dog at Knothole Island I now always pick wealth

Yeah, I picked it for Rose, and (besides my dog that's gonna die of old age soon, he's at least 14 years old) all I get is my gypsy wife and the son she tries to pass off as mine.
well I guess you kind of get Rose back but I wish you could see her. theres absolutely nothing about her after her death except her journal that she left behind and her letter if you chose family.
It's so easy I accidentally beat him. After he finished his dialogue, I was expecting a really tough fight so I fired my pistol immediately. My face= O_O
i got my husband and kid back and my husband yelled at me for having a crappy house ( and i don't) and my daughter told it "its better here without you"
Am I the only one who noticed that we did all these Quest for Her All These favors for her All this and that Yet she gets to keep the spire and she did nothing 😒😐
The person with Rose is said and confirmed to be Scythe AKA the Archon of the Old Kingom - William Black. T he sanctuary is supposed to be something made by (the second hero during before the events of F3) so kinda might be guild chambers. and with Theresa, no one knows, but not to spoil anything, she lives in the spire to see the futures of Albion and possibly save it (leading up to a DLC mentioning F3, Aurora, the hero in F2 being a king) and is given a gift by the spire.
The reward is the best reward you will ever get in the game a letter from rose it’s so heart breaking how she’s gone but happy again in the note but I love this game. This ending almost made me cry
Devoid of epic boss fights unless you count Jack of Blades as a dragon in The Lost Chapters. One of the most endearing things about Fable 2 was Lucien's performance. You only meet him a few times throughout the game but it leaves an impression on you each time.
I dug the end. It wasn't hard, but it was about the story. It wasn't a boss battle, it was an interactive story epilogue. The fight with the great shard was the "final boss battle"
It only happens with the Family ending (shown in the video). Each ending earns you a letter (the good ending = the people of Albion ; the evil ending = Theresa) and in the Family ending, Rose writes you a letter that mentions a hooded man. You can see the whole letter at the end of the video.
@MW2TheMatrix She dies at the end of the tutorial/prologue segment at the beginning of Fable 2. She only recovers if you receive the Family ending by picking the Love card, like in this video.
I swear lion head needs to reveal all these damn secerets like who did rose go with, is the sanctuary in f3 the guild chambers, is william black scythe, what happened to the spire when theresa got ahold of it. these stories are driving me nuts.
@RawBerryFields4evr It is pretty anticlimatic, especially when you consider how awesome its predecessor's final boss was - no matter if it was the original or Lost Chapters edition. It would've been cool to see him use the Spire for something other than monologuing and ordering you to fall asleep, like some sort of crazy transformation or something. On the other hand, I find Reaver's intervention hilarious.
@MGgamingclub Scythe was an undead-looking Hero introduced in TLC who helps you out near the end of that game in the Frozen Wastes. He's nearly as enigmatic as Jack of Blades and supplementary material to Fable suggests he may be an Archon. Jack of Blades was a Hero in Fable 1 and TLC who ended up as the antagonist. New content in TLC changed his backstory so that he is actually an ancient being of great evil. The Hero of Oakvale is the player character from Fable 1.
I will never forget after using the trinket on Lucien and he started talking. All i saw was him turning red and shot at him before i heard the rest of the dialogue lmao. Of course, i replayed the part so that i could hear what he had to say but seriously. Most games have the bosses talk while attacking at the same time. I wasnt expecting it to be one shot kill lol
@beechum3 A little bit off the beaten path by the town itself is a monument with a sign and a lever nearby. You need to have a villager follow you so you can sacrifice him/her in order to revive your dog.
The first time I beat it Reaver shot him, I thought I had to wait for him to finish his monologue lol. The second time I did it myself as soon as I got the chance lol
@SgtMorph you can see it from driftwood very easily, and from Bowerstone Market, from anywhere. When your on the bridge looking towards the market its on the left hand side. Can be seen even more clearly from the entrance to Bowerstone Old Quarter, you can see the bottom of it too :)
@CrappnIdiotsPROD The main character from Fable 1 is usually referred to in-universe as the Hero of Oakvale. Scythe is another hero from the Guild who is among the oldest living beings in Albion. There is supplementary material somewhere that drops big hints about Scythe being an Archon of old as well. So far he's only shown up in-game in The Lost Chapters.
@TikiTackleProduction shes immortal, plus in Wraithmarsh she says Oakvale was destoyed 500 years ago, and before that she says "it has changed drastically since i saw it last."
@samfromthorne she says "it has changed drastically since i saw it last. 600 years ago, it was attacked and burned down by bandits. those that survived, rebuilt, only to be destroyed again by a reckless young villager (Reaver).
@spartanelete I think that sometimes happens. My best guess is that when you left for the Spire, your spouse's Like-meter or whatnot was not high enough and she divorced you for being gone for so long.
@Xmatron I actually got a good laugh out of your reply! Thank you! I'm aware that it IS Theresa from Fable: TLC. I was uneducated because I did not have Fable 2 or 3 to play and have only played said game. But I do thank you for the reply!
Wait... Thin, wears a hood and kind of scary but nice and makes you feel safe? Knows the Heros' family well? Promised Rose that she and Sparrow would be together again one day? That sounds suspiciously like Death.
@YoshiFan007 it is rumoured you can. I dont know if this is true but the Fable wiki says she and Scythe are in the Oakfield demon door apparently. Also if you didnt open the rookridge demon door and try without a dog, she appears as a ghost along with your dog so you can open it
@Iceman2376 It's been nearly two years since recording this, but I appear to have been using a Master Longsword and a Master Flintlock Rifle. Most weapon vendors will sell them - depending on the economy.
@MrClayCummings *thinks for a few moments* I actually went back and looked at the cut scenes, and Weaver (guildmaster) said that their leader sliced out her eyes. Why she didn't use her Will to make the eyes she has now in Fable 2 & 3, I don't know. @.@
@sandwichofshadows and fable 3 makes it even more clear. she was the puppet master the entire game. she is explicetly stated to have been the reason my bro turned darkside(to fill the coffers) she used and mislead me to get me to overthrow him cause she knew i'd use it to win where bro was a tool/stepping stone to be discarded before the fight cause he'd lose. ect.
@MrApophis All I have left is the frustratingly elusive Dollcatcher achievement, which requires the combined efforts of three people or so - assuming they have See the Future.
@CrappnIdiotsPROD no. Scythe is a Immortal from the Fable: the Lost chapters, which is the first game with an added little end in which you finally completly kill Jack. he looks like a Zombie, almost. he is mentioned in Fable 2, as you can see, however, he apparently "disappeared" and people wondered if he really was Immortal. the Demon Door under castle Fair Fax even mentions he came around every hundred years.
It took me a long time to get my 3rd playthrough completed because I had already seen the game plenty of times in the first two playthroughs and my co-op experiences.
@LonewolfSaichi Even considering that Knothole Island allows you to revive your Dog, this ending does give you something - your family, if there was any. The Sacrifice Ending is basically you getting absolutely nothing except good morality points.
it has been confirmed that the man in rose's letter is Scythe.look it up on fable wiki.also the hero of oakvale is dead because if you look at the property description for serenity farm (Homestead demon door)it says the many great heroes spent their last days here including the "one who vanquished jack of blades".it might be possible that the hero of oakvale lived until the attack on the heroes guild and fled to serentiy farm to live in solitude until he eventually died.
@YoshiFan007 Very true. I didn't take into consideration of the Will she could be using. Makes me wonder why Lionhead Studios didn't make her do that in Fable: TLC... But I'm starting to play Fable 2, thanks to my lovely brother, and so I shall learn more and comment with better knowledge. :)
@UltramanTiga333 I think we'd all like to believe that the Guildmaster was killed by the Hero of Oakvale with the words "Your health is low" carved into his forehead.
@MrPhenomenal7 Yes, according to the third note, it's Scythe. I remember him. However, when I left my comment, that note wasn't present. And Scythe? He's alright. There's some suspicion that he might be William Black, the first Archon. I dunno if he is or isn't, but he is certainly DAMNED old.
Fable and Fable 2 were amazing. And STORY WISE, Fable 3 was also great but ths series is now slowly dieing... I'd love to see a good fable game released but I'm afraid that will never happen. Besides, EVEN if it does, it will be for the xbox one and that's terrible... Oh Fable :(
re: "It suggests that he is in fact one of the Archons (but not specifically the last one) who achieved immortality through, possibly, necromancy, which would explain his rotting appearance in The Lost Chapters. " no, hes Will. the first archon. he was cursed by the void for slaying the court, started rotting put on a blue cloak and left.
@CrappnIdiotsPROD Invest some XP into the Force Field spell or whatever it's called (blue aura that prevents damage by draining mana instead of health), head to the Cliffside Path - past Lychfield and before Bargate Prison - and just keep killing the undead there, building your combat multiplier. Make sure to bring plenty of mana potions and, if possible, some skill potions ("Ages of ____"). The amount of XP given from skill potions is tied to your combat multiplier.
@XardBoy I haven't played Fable III but it takes place several decades after Fable II, at the very least. The original Fable and Fable II are a few hundred years apart, comparatively.
@adamberg96 which hero? Fable 1? or Fable 2? Fable 1's mother is Scarlet Robe, a Balverine slayer. she was wounded in her last fight, when she met Fable 1's father.
@syoncle Scythe only appears in Fable: The Lost Chapters and has almost no given backstory in the game aside from being ancient. Some supplementary material outside of the games (I couldn't tell you what specifically) inferred, if not outright stating, that he was an Archon from the old age, which strongly supports the theory that he's the one with Rose.
and beside, ot seems that the player shall became the king of albion somehow, so maybe it is link to the hooded man who seems to be a king os something
@TheOriginalThree From what I can tell, there's no definitive answer for why she at least appears to have something resembling eyes - perhaps she is simply using the Will to see and it manifests as glowing eyes. It's extremely unlikely that this is a different character from Theresa in Fable 1 - nothing else implies this Theresa is someone brand new with the same name and power as the first Theresa.
@Goldfish4242 lol It's a character named Scythe. I'm just now learning of him tonight...it kind of pisses me off though that even though I took the time to play all 3 games and spend my money on them im still missing parts of the story....that's why im not a fan of extra missions and stuff that u have to buy to go with a game...i can't ever get them so now im missing a chunk of story to one of my favorite game series ever. sorry i had to rant there lol
@XardBoy I think you're confusing Briar Rose from Fable 1 with Rose from Fable 2. Briar Rose was a really minor NPC in the original Fable and only got notability in the Lost Chapters during the Northern Wastes segment; it's very likely that it's just a coincidence that Rose and her have similar names.
Hey how are you doing, I just wanted to ask a quick question, though I'm not sure If someone else has already answered this but: Where did you get your Melee & Ranged Weapons at?
Fable 1: She is trying to understand her power.
Fable 2: She caused the whole mess to expand it
Fable 3: She warns the wrong brother of the apocalypse and then tricks you into undoing her mistake, not because it's the right thing to do, but because she sees an opportunity to shine again, then botches it.

it has been confirmed that the man in rose's letter is Scythe.look it up on fable wiki.also the hero of oakvale is dead because if you look at the property description for serenity farm (Homestead demon door)it says the many great heroes spent their last days here including the "one who vanquished jack of blades".it might be possible that the hero of oakvale lived until the attack on the heroes guild and fled to serentiy farm to live in solitude until he eventually died.
this would make a great movie :)
Your sister cannot be found by any means but your wife and child(ren) will be right where you left them.
@YoshiFan007 What were the subtle hints?
@MrPhenomenal7 Yes, according to the third note, it's Scythe. I remember him. However, when I left my comment, that note wasn't present. And Scythe? He's alright. There's some suspicion that he might be William Black, the first Archon. I dunno if he is or isn't, but he is certainly DAMNED old.
@XardBoy then wat about fable 3?does the third part share some of the story chain of fable 1 & 2?
Fable and Fable 2 were amazing. And STORY WISE, Fable 3 was also great but ths series is now slowly dieing... I'd love to see a good fable game released but I'm afraid that will never happen. Besides, EVEN if it does, it will be for the xbox one and that's terrible... Oh Fable :(
You got your wish. Another fable is in the works and I couldn’t be happier
re: "It suggests that he is in fact one of the Archons (but not specifically the last one) who achieved immortality through, possibly, necromancy, which would explain his rotting appearance in The Lost Chapters. "
no, hes Will. the first archon. he was cursed by the void for slaying the court, started rotting put on a blue cloak and left.
@repulic5 have you ever played fable the lost chapters??
Makes that ending kind of a moot point aside from saving your family and getting some closure with Rose.
@XardBoy I haven't played Fable III but it takes place several decades after Fable II, at the very least.
The original Fable and Fable II are a few hundred years apart, comparatively.
@adamberg96 which hero? Fable 1? or Fable 2? Fable 1's mother is Scarlet Robe, a Balverine slayer. she was wounded in her last fight, when she met Fable 1's father.
anyone know if its possible to get the music box music for a ringtone? its epic.
For everyone to know if you pick gold or sacrifice you can get your dog back
what happened to the spire when it keeps wanting you to look at it
@CrappnIdiotsPROD Scythe is a Hero and he's even older than that. This ending suggests he's still alive, even.
shoot? I force push LIKE A BOSS
@webshoter I would surmise you're correct, as I do like to wear the Patchy Coat on my Heroes.
And the man with rose is none other than...Jack of Blades!
She says in the game 'this is oakvale, I havent seen it in 500 years' think about that.
@mrsnubeh Rose does not reappear in-game after the prologue segment, no matter what.
@LaFlammeAzure its about 50 years, and from what i heard, the main quest is becoming king/queen.
and beside, ot seems that the player shall became the king of albion somehow, so maybe it is link to the hooded man who seems to be a king os something
I'm just now learning of him tonight...it kind of pisses me off though that even though I took the time to play all 3 games and spend my money on them im still missing parts of the story....that's why im not a fan of extra missions and stuff that u have to buy to go with a game...i can't ever get them so now im missing a chunk of story to one of my favorite game series ever. sorry i had to rant there lol
she was alive if you choose this ending. seems that she got teleported to a weird place that you can never get to
FUCK I PICKED THE WRONG CARD!! SHIT BALLS
@TheOriginalThree They are the same Theresas. It was said by the Lionheart place/thingy.
