Its not the freefall or the gliding im scared about, its when your legs are hanging over the edge and the anticipation of jumping is what got me scared, but once we jumped out, i loved every second of it.

I did a tri-generation tandem jump with my granddaughter (18), daughter (44) and I was 67. It was exhilarating! I plan to do it again in my 70's. Happy for you.

During my first time skydiving, some smart ass yelled "WAIT!" as I was jumping from the plane. During the whole fall I'm thinking something's wrong with my parachute smh.

I just went for my first! Such an awesome experience, I’d recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat, regardless of how scared you think you’d be. It’s truly an unmatched feeling and I wanted to go again right after I landed. I even made a video myself and put it up just so I’d never forget it
just jumped 10/21/23 and yep! my first thought was let's do that AGAIN! all the anxiety worry and whatever goes completely bye bye once you hit free fall. you are now just along for the ride, zero (well some) control. scooch out the door, rock forward, rock back and... GO!

I could see the fear but you did it anyway , now you're ready for your first static line jump, where you are responsible for your own safety, your own chute check, your own cutaway (if needed ) and your own landing, , believe me it is a whole different experience and reward, you are off to a great start! thanks for sharing
I did my aff in Madrid last year. I did levels one to six,no repeats. Unfortunately,due to various problems at home,I was unable to continue,then Covid happened. At the grand age of 57 I am probably too old to go back, but it was an amazing experience. Don’t think just do. My only regret is not doing it much earlier.

Makes me realise how much I love the ground. It’s so nice and stable and solid. The only way it could kill you is if you were foolish enough to rush at it at 120 mph. But that’s never gonna happen, right?
Yeah the chances are extremly low,. In reality driving you car is not much safer then this. I mean the chances of an deadly accident are 0,0013% and of this most accidents happen because the person who is jumping is overestimating them self or the equipment. So yeah it basicly never gonna happen. I mean even if the main Parachute fails you have another one. If you are scuba diving you chances of dying are 3 times higher, if you ride a bicicle it is nearly as "high" as dying while parachuting. The chance of dying while driving your car is arroung 1 in 6000 so yeah like i said parachuting is actually extremly safe, the way to the plain is actually the risky part in there :D Dancing it acutally more dangerous too. But yeah it think your comment was not so serious ^^
A good jump with a very experienced instructor. She was very nervous the whole way down and think the smiles at the end where ones of thank god i am alive rather than enjoyment of the jump lol PS just one thing, be wary of other jumpers landing near you!!!
I did my first on my 68th birthday, & decided I'd go every birthday, until I can't. Just did my 69th b-day, but I don't want to wait a whole year, so I'm going whenever I can afford plus all birthdays. So awesome! Dropped thru some big fluffy clouds & love every minute!

As I'm sitting here watching the plane take off, I'm imagining how wonderful, how glorious it would be to be a student pilot, and take off for your first time alone, and just feel the sheer glory of flying. I can never be a pilot, I'm an albino. Otherwise, my propose in life would be to fly these achievements of mankind.

I’m doing my first ever jump tomorrow to celebrate the day my beautiful son was born and it’s also the three month mark of the day he passed away. He would be forty tomorrow. I’m choosing to celebrate him by doing something he would have been so proud of me for doing. I am a bit terrified tho.
I used to jump in DeLand Florida. Landed once with a diver and a girl who did a tandem and when she landed they asked her how she liked it. She said "I really don't see what the big deal is!" Only person I ever met like that!
I'm going skydiving for the first time pretty soon. The only thing I'm terrified of is the exit itself but everything else I'm actually excited to experience. If someone jumps alone before me (like in this video, before you) I'd feel a lot better about myself doing this cause jumping out by yourself is harder than hell to do.

Went about a year ago and I wont lie. I am an adrenaline junkie but it scared the absolute piss out of me. Once the chute opened though and we were floating I felt so cool.
It is too noisy when you in free fall, very hard to talk. He turned her head to see far away in front, there is much better view. Nothing interesting when you watching down approaching field. This man is a real professional.
The only thing I'm scared in skydiving, is me being in too much panic to be able to pull the parachute. I just think I wouldn't be calm enough to do it-
If any of you want to jump remember to leave your fear in the airplane and enjoy the moment. The parachute is designed to open in any position, even falling on your back. If anything goes wrong you have a reserve anyway just in case, just dont worry about it
The guide is a awesome jumper he had that camera held the whole time while doing everything. Was very nice and positive and let her enjoy the feeling and view while in air .
You have 2 parachutes, a "main" and a "reserve". If the "main" doesn't deploy properly, you pull a handle, and it will "cut away". Then you deploy your "reserve". You get 2 rides! Woo hoo D-17222

Idk where you are but in Florida you have to tandem jump at least 7 times and take a class. This was her first.

The reason I’m scared of skydiving is because what if the parachute doesn’t deploy correctly
Well you have the rest of your life to think about it.😂
You have 2 parachutes, a "main" and a "reserve". If the "main" doesn't deploy properly, you pull a handle, and it will "cut away".
Then you deploy your "reserve".
You get 2 rides!

Ah yes, the whole 'swipe the hair from the tandem master's face' trick. May not seem like much but in freefall, it's a complete lashing!!! Not pleasant. ;)
Did you were secured to your instructor harness by a Single hook ??at the back of your harness

Im about 3 hours away from jumping out of the plane, and i must say my timbers have been shivered. Im doing my research to make sure i know what iv got myself into and although it looks fun, im absolutely terrified.
I've always had a dream that I've been flying to the SKY hopefully before my Birthday I do this.
Once you're out of that plane it's all good 😂🤣😂 I skydived all thru the 90s I want the 90s back
