Something interesting about Virgilius is that he was gonna be the identity of the Man of 19 years ago and he has the Ushiromiya Family Symbol. Thus he was gonna be a rival to Battler meant to confuse him, so my guess is that Virgilius was planned as another persona for Sayo. Tbh it would been interesting to see him as one of their personas would been interesting.
So that means Erika is a Sayo persona, meaning that Bern, Lambda and Featherine are her mental creations

@@fernandocuauhshihuacarbaja3094 Yeah Erika was introduced as something completely foreign to Sayo, considering the answer to EP5 was that Battler and Sayo were plotting to kill everyone and take the gold for themselves. "A game without love", something that would have definitely never happened.
But Virgilius? Yeah I can see him being the part of Sayo that made them ask themselves "What did you ever see in this imbecile?" and a bigger parallelism to the Divine Comedy: Virgil was doomed to limbo by refusing faith in things you cannot prove (this can mean god, but also love itself), and when it comes the time for Dante to explore Heaven with Beatrice, Virgil cannot accompany him. A way to say only one mindstate can be the predominant one, "I believe in love/I don't".

Yeah pretty much.
It's so funny to see the characters talk about the development of the series, it's like they developed even greater meta level and stepped outside the story of a story :D But it's a nice way to put the cut content into the series itself rather than just exist in interviews, notes and sketches. I also wonder what the next WTC series Bern and Lambda were talking about, was it Ciconia?

Indeed, a very convenient Fairy tale, one too much naive. Even if the scenario of Asumu being alive somehow stop the Rokkenjima tragedy, doesn't mean one tragedy wouldn't happen. Kyrie was already on the edge six years ago, and like she said, if Asumu didn't die, she would kill her. Considering how far Kyrie is willing to take for her goals, we could only imagine if she would stop on Asumu, perhaps her grudge would just expand for her years of suffering.
In the end Lambda was right, the Rokkenjima tragedy certainly can't be avoided.

Hey, at least by the very end they all remembered she existed and that they love her in spite of her faults.
Because Bernkastel's a petty bitch. This was payback for EP8 where Battler and Beato, with Lambda on their side, demanded she bring Erika back. She wanted them to forget her and thus after hearing details say "we don't want her back, Bernkastel was justified in sending her away", just to have the satisfaction of hearing them say it. Again, petty.

Well it might be if Ryukishi decides to make a secuel to Umineko, since Virgilius is actually another persona of Sayo it would be interesting to see them battle Battler in this form.

Feeling proud of myself for figuring out who she was shortly after the red text stating those killed had to be removed in order for her to be on the gameboard!
I hadn't before thought what would have happened had Battler never left the island, but... this makes it so sad that that couldn't have been what actually happened..

Nope. To my knowledge this released well after the umineko manga concluded so it didn’t get an adaptation. It might in the future so who knows.
