I read a Steam user review for Garry's Mod where the guy said, I have 4,000 hours playing I have lost my family, my wife left me and I got fired from my job for spending all my time playing this. Naturally my first reaction was, "Poor guy, I got to get this game whatever it is."

Funny thing is i got this game, cant figure it out! I'd rather play sims 4 and build stuff that way...oh well it was only $3

Riu kun uh.... Garry's mod isn't a mod for CS:GO. It was a mod for Half Life 2, and then made into a full game on Steam called well, Garry's Mod.

TIP: You CAN remove welds! Just select the "weld" tool and press "R." in the area where you put the weld.
this will remove ALL the welds, so if you have put multiple welds on one prop say bye bye to your contraption

maybe you have unchecked the "enable weapons" when you start your server?

PlayingGmod hey, im having a bit of problem. the pressing shift and e at the same time to make it straight or what ever, doesnt work for me. its just like pressing e.
You need to go under options and take a look at what keys on your keyboard are bound to shift, and change it so that this method would work

This question is kinda late : I'm trying to find this smartsnap tool and from what I have seen, a lot of people are currently complaining about it in the steam workshop and on various forums. I tried installing it but it just does not work. Is there a reliable way to acquire it?

Hmm well, the one i have is from the workshop, it works fine for me?
Maybe you have to enable it when you are ingame, old q and go under options, in there are the options for your mods, it might be there

The one i have is smartsnap by Syanide. I have not had any problems. And the thing with the 25, doesn't make any sense. Sounds like some conspiracy bulls*it to honest. It sounds like the guy who experienced this was hacked peronally

You can edit it, I think. I just bought the game 3 minutes ago, so I don't know. I saw somewhere under an options menu you can change the color. I saw it on a RUclips video a while back.

Man, you have to hold left click while right clicking to freeze objects so with a Mac trackpad I think it’s impossible unless you got a very old Mac with separated left and right click, but on the new ones... Ughh think you gotta buy yourself a mouse man

How do you change your character!!
Hold down C, and click on Playermodels in the top left hand corner. This will show you the Playermodels you have available that you can choose from. Just click on it, but you won't actually appear in-game as that model until you are respawned. I suggest doing this immediately after dying. Hope this helps.
How do I spawn in? I always spawn in spectator mode and can't get out?
+Louix Jarvie you might be starting a gamemode.... make sure that you're playing sandbox, you can see the current gamemode the buttom right of the screen when you try yo create a game

Hello bro i'm 50hrs gmod played and i have some questions while building tanks.
Is there mod or tool which can rotate prop in one axis? When I use E with G-gun, it always rotate in x y z all axles
How the builders make symmetry with their builds? I'm using plane in precision allignment but it doesnt work right always
Is there another tool like weld but tighter than weld

No problem! Okay, so i'm not going to write the entire answer... for the first question about rotating a prop on one axis go to my channel and search for "Axis tool" i have a tutorial showing you how to use that, it's what you want to use... for the symmetry part, maybe use dupelicator tool? Mostly you just have to be very precise when building, it's really hard
And a smart tool to weld with is "smart weld" i have a tutorial on that one too on my channel

Ty Wiseman While in Sandbox. Hold the Q button on your keyboard. If that doesn't work hold F1 Instead.
I found out now my screen and zoomed in for some reason and I clicked on the X and got all props but thank you all for trying to help

For the thing with the menu, you need to go under options and check that key is set to what, that's probably why it doesn't work
As with the gravity gun, you need to enable weapons before starting the sandbox mode

If you ever figure out how to open console and this glitch is still happening for you open the console and type
*exec config_default*
This will bring every bind back to default so if you have already figured this out and have binds set up do *NOT* use this because it will remove all custom binds! Hope this helps.

Try looking in the vehicle tab and make sure you are allowing vehicles when you start it.

You can also no collide props using the context menu (holding c) and right click something with your mouse cursor and then click "disable collisions" it also allows options for ignite, drive, persissting which is if you dont want something touched accudently by physgun it will not touch it, and sometimes gravity.
I wanted to buy portal off steam and then I realized that good was on steam and I never played it before so I bought and then I didn't know how to play. This video really helped!
