Shes literally the longest reining monarch in the world. She’s even gone through World War 2 and back. Queen Elizabeth isn’t a trend that you can follow and forget. To think that someone was under the public eyes for SEVENTY year and had NEVER voiced a single blamable, controversial, or offensive word... that is a testament of her embodiment and commitment to the role she held. Whatever one may think of monarchies, that is an achievement worth of all applauses (and tears) today.

Considering the crown was initially meant for her uncle and his lineage the Queen took on the responsibility at such a young age with commitment and dedication. She was true to her words and lived it to the very end. RIP Queen Elizabeth II.

In regards to Africa, sadly successive governments have let thier people down through corruption and terrible leadership, often disregarding democracy. I hope the people of individual African States force much needed change and become more prosperous. But that is squarely in thier gift as citizens and not in that of a ceremonial monarch.

When she talked about her vow to nation and the fact that “I do not regret or retract one word of it”, it is infinitely obvious that she meant every word; unlike many/most of our contemporary leaders. Across the pond, we lost that sort of enduring integrity with Eisenhower’s passing. Let’s hope that leaders will choose to “carry her torch of integrity” going onwards; regardless of all “malarkey” past committed. 🙏

The only British monarch most of us have ever known. She so reminded me of my own Great Grandmothers, a generation who were so strong in the face of such adversity on our shores during WWII. She was the one great constant in all lives of British People - she almost felt to us like her life would be eternal but sadly we all pass at some point. She was not just a Great Grandmother, Grandmother & Mother to her own family but also to her extended National Family.

I'm anti monarchist but in her long reign, the Queen almost never put a foot wrong, which can't be easy, nor was it easy to have any real privacy most of her life. She cannot be replaced, ever, nor could anyone come close to her dignity and fortitude, indeed we should not expect it.

I'm from the United States and I dearly loved the Queen. There was something about her that made you feel like you knew her personally. She dealt with people with class, humor and devotion with her life. What a beautiful person. So down to earth but also Royalty. I feel like I've lost my dearest grandmother. How could one not respect someone as devoted to service as she?
Indeed she sacrificed most of her life for us, her people, all around the world. A source of strength and inspiration for many. Often a unifying force in the face of division and personally found her a more stable public figure than any other. Her presence was comforting, and Queen Elizabeth always demonstrated solidarity with us during our trials and tribulations. Changing with the times, and stoically, she has helped lead us through it all. Long has she reigned, may she finally rest in peace.
Irrespective of one's personal views, we will never live to see another like her.

Without question, Elizabeth II is among the greatest English monarchs in British history, alongside other great monarchs like Alfred the Great, Victoria, Edward I, Edward III, Henry II, Henry V, Richard the Lionheart and her namesake Elizabeth I.
Let's not forget about Victoria. An Era was named after her that most of the world recognizes.

I am from Nigeria and have lived here all my life, never even been to London. Seeing the news of her death on the T.V screen, I froze and before I knew it my cheeks were wet. At that moment I felt “the world has lost an important treasure”. To me, she was a calm, gentle, easy going and cultured woman. Knowing her history and how she passed through so many hurdles; politically, socially and personally…yet always smiling and never complaining. She was a great woman and she will be missed. Inspite not being a fan of colonialism and monarchist, I have to say that the Queen was a true icon of grace, dignity, dedication and class. She was a constant for the whole world and for most of us who are alive today regardless from which country. Never imagined a world without her, alas we have to let her rejoin her husband, father, mother and sister in peace and happiness. She has left a great legacy behind her, however it's a great great shame she had to endure the humiliation of her favourite son Andrews scandal and the many lies and heartache caused by her favourite grandson Harry and his wife during her final days. I really hope she was protected from hearing about Harry's wife's interview and was in peace during her final days. If there ever was a great Queen in our lifetime, it's Queen Elizabeth the second.
Although I never met her in person, I've always felt her love and humility. To eternal peace and bliss with the One True King, so much love for the Queen.
I'm afraid there's no eternal peace for her...

The crown was never her responsibility yet she did it better than Queen Victoria because Edward VIII decided to abdicate. Having lost her father and not even having the time to grieve, she ascended the throne at 25 and since then saw the world change around her. Having lost the close family one by one- father, grandmother, sister, mother and at last her husband of 70 plus years. She was surrounded by family yet alone since the passing of Duke of Edinburgh. She carried the crown all her life, through the toughest times though her actual passion lied in horses.
She was so loved and cherished. I drew strength from her like many and found comfort. RIP Her majesty the Queen, Elizabeth II. You will always remain one of the greatest of all. I feel better knowing that you are with your Philip now.
She is easily the most respected Monarch England has ever had and also the World. Throughout her 7 decades of reign, there hasn't been an event were anyone could genuinely hate her. She was and is one of the finest monarch of England who ruled not only her kingdom but everyones heart. Her Majesty is with her love and family now, at peace.

She was this symbol of eternal grace and charm that I’ve been familiar with since I was a child. Never set foot in the UK, but I can’t help but feel a great emptiness.
Queen Elizabeth ii was truly a magnificent part of world history. Regardless of her predecessors approvals to atrocities committed around the colonial empire she was a woman of work and dignity who believed in multiculturalism and equality among all races and countries. She met with all great leaders of 20th century and early 21st century, she was the bridge between imperial age and modern age.
