It’s really good to see Pico! Man I have been listening to HNN since right around Covid first kicked off. We were so isolated and stuck in our bubbles it was so nice to hear people having a normal conversation and the podcast is very much the reason I leaned so heavy in to SWGOH. I hope he continues his rounds on the podcast and with any luck him and Sarah do a podcast no matter what it is about I think people would tune in to see how our old “friends” are doing. You may not know us but in our minds while listening to HNN we were having a conversation. PS I’m team Pico on the Padiwan Obi cron the ROI and usefulness of it I would argue is better than many other omis that are applied for just a few percents better on a battle in GAC or TW.
As someone who is a hoarder I always say the best thing about building the hoard is spending it. There is no point collecting crystals like Smaug does gold unless you plan to use them. Personally I go for the signal data daily deals.
Neil Postman was right. The shape of public discourse is a function of technology and media. It's just how people engage with each other nowadays, off the cuff responses in 160 characters or less.
Some of the "incompetent" remarks aimed at cg is banter-esque, as pico was jokingly called a "piece of shit" for the long neck silverman discovery. Sure there's bitter people out there being cruel, but mostly imo its lighthearted criticism of the shortcomings of cg (we all have them). I don't think its unreasonable to ask a billion dollar game for game notes without spelling errors given we have autocorrect, or clear communication about game events like the duel of fates debacle. Its now been over 2 months of swgoh cutting off other audio sources. Certainly not a high priority, but I don't understand how a successful game has not resolved this by now. Not sure how else to address these issues without jokingly say incompetent. Maybe overworked, understaffed? Also, not to shill amc a list, but if you go to the movies and have an amc theater around, hands down best subscription out there. I believe the last raunchy comedy in theaters was Strays, unless you count Deadpool. Hard for studios to bet on r rated comedies at the box office, when they eventually just end up sold to different streaming platforms nowadays. Never thought I would see Blazing Saddles on the big screen and was fortunate to see it for its 50th anniversary not too long ago.
Funny enough I am an Alist subscriber and have been since the beginning. I was a MoviePass subscriber before that. when it comes to CG, I don’t disagree with you really. I do think there are very valid criticisms to be had, and when I see them I make them, and I do see other people make them as well, but i also think a large part of the playerbase can be unreasonably negative.
@@Egnar I think Reddit in general doesn’t shy away from having their circle jerks of negativity. Might not help being a prominent member of the community, which may inadvertently paint a target on your back from different platforms unfortunately. Largely the community I’ve dealt with has been nothing, but supportive overall. Point is, don’t let a vocal minority overshadow the 140k of us just on Reddit that notice all the hard work you put into this community. We might not be as vocal, but still are grateful for it since it’s all fueled from passion. May the force be with you 🤙
Please don’t let this be the last time we see Pico. The world needs voices like his.

I love the grown folk talk!
Great discussion.

I have been trying to get better at this myself and have committed to just randomly taking characters to g13 to get past that final gearing hump.
To clarify something that Pico mentioned that he didn’t know the word to describe online gambling or sports betting. The term is “iGaming”.
26:03 Agreed, I like the Acolyte because it was Star Wars. Just didn’t like the show because a lot of the story and character development sucked.
great conversation 👍

I think a lot of it is cyclical and now more than ever people are realizing that, and looking for real connections [I know at least I am].
I'd just say - as a queer viewer - Bottoms was the dumb ridiculous comedy movie I wanted my entire high school/college life
I’ve heard Bottoms was very good from multiple sources, I need to get around to seeing it.
The real question is: was the chimpanzee running on all 4’s or just hind legs?
I like to think that the chimpanzee can choose to do either, and I support their freedom to do so! 😜

spend don't spend, i've never asked anyone how match they spend. whales keep the game going very silly thing to care about or let bother you
We live in a world where everybody feels the need to dictate how other people choose to spend their time, energy, and money. [unfortunately]
