Our brand new caravan, our Sunseeker Desert Storm manufactured by titanium caravans. This is our absolute dream home and family caravan. Fully equipped with cruisemaster atx suspension, more solar and battery power than we think we will ever need and built like an absolute tank, this van will take use to the places we have always dreamed.
Our dream of caravanning Australia is coming to an absolute reality and with this offroad caravan and our brand new six cylinder next generation Ford Ranger, we feel we are in the drivers seat to experience and live out our dreams.

They are really good. Never let us down. It can also double up as a jack for the van. You get a piece that can solder on to the side of the van and you can lift up the side to change a tyre. Two sizes, a 1000kg and a 3000kg
Yeah just looked it up and there’s the blue one that’s rated at 3500kg ATM
Congratulations with the new van and Ranger, we have a 3.5t van like you and am wondering how the Ranger tows it and fo you have engine temperature issues on long inclines like the Toowoomba range?
Hey Kevin. We towed the van to rainbow beach recently, and we had no issues at all. The roads there are pretty hilly but not as severe as the Toowoomba range. Prior to this van we had a another van that was 3.1 tonne and we took it up the range near Cairns to the Atherton Tablelands and it did it with no issues. We have taken a few weeks off travel to get the van sorted but are looking at heading off this week. We will definitely be making vids in the future on the performance of the car and the van, so stay tuned. 👍

Well done on your new van looks so good but this is my thought and I could be wrong if the plate on your van says atm 4500 kg legally your car can’t tow it regards how much weight is in your van if you ever get pulled over first thing they look at your gvm and your caravan atm I think you are going to be way over at this time even my 200 series Landcruiser legally can’t tow it that’s my thought plus the caravan dealership should have never allow you to tow away with your car safe travels
Hmmm. Well, we just got our van weighed professionally and they told us it all comes down to how much your van weighs on the day. I have heard that before as well, but that’s not my understanding

Thanks for that wish I read that article earlier went down to Brisbane on weekend to look at up grading our Jayco had an eye on one but tare weight already at 2950 and atm 4100 got told I wasn’t allowed to tow it even if went down to 3500 which is the maximum I can tow buy the time I fill up water tanks in van there is not much pay load left we do a lot of off grid camping so think we are sticking with our Jayco for a while cheers 🥂
That’s OK. We are putting together a video on our weighing of the van now, so stay tuned for that one. We have to travel with next to no water to stay under weight, so its not ideal, but for us its worth it. We have bought an awesome water bladder that we can put in the back of the ute and fill up our tanks once we arrive at our site if necessary. It is a pain, but for us it’s worth it.
