The wind at the end is the bridge between “Till the end of time” and the next song “The wind” which is also incredible! A lot of piano and kinda dark mood, technical song and mariah slays!!
Yeah it's actually a start of "The Wind", which is also a good song (not as great as this one, but there aren't many as good as this one tbh), but truly depressing. Honestly, there is a slight mismatch between the lyrics and the melody in "Till the end of time" - the song is actually quite sad, even though the lyrics are romantic.

Mariah's vocal performance here is top notch and Walter's production on this track is insane. Both are so rich and dynamic. A real gem. Notes: melisma refers to fitting a multiple notes within the single span of a syllable in a word. To execute it with speed and accuracy, vocal agility, coloratura, breath control, and adequate support are key. Resonance has to do with the placement of the note within the open cavities (or mask) in the skull. The more resonance, the fuller the sound will be thereby producing a "ring" to the note. Support and strong technique are key.

The wind that you hear coming in at the end is the song starting to transition into the last track of the album, "The Wind", which is a hauntingly beautiful jazz style song. You should definitely check it out sometime too!

On every one of her songs she is always listed as the main writer, even this song, Till the End of time, was a Mariah Carey, Walter A collaboration. She explains in many interviews how she comes up with the melody and Walter plays the piano as she sings. They wrote many many songs before he betrayed her including All I want for Christmas is you. So she really writes everything she sings, she just guides the musicians on how to.play the music she hears in her head.
Walter Afanassief co wrote this song and many others on this album 😊
Mariah writes her lirics alone, Walter Asanasieff is credited as co-writer in her songs because she helps to write the melody since Mariah can play the piano so well. He is credited as a co-writer even in the first album but Mariah had already written all those songs in high school.

This song is like the decorum you experience in a beach house.. just pure bliss. And it keeps elevating your mood as the pressure of the wave builds up.
This was THE song for me on Emotions! By far, the best is Mariah’s early albums. So overlooked, so under appreciated! This needs to be on a tour, along with everything fades away! Would die to hear them live, along with daydream from beginning to end!

Oh wow this was a gorgeous song, very emotional. Melisma is when you sing a group of notes to one syllable, like a run. I think you were referring to reverb, the echoing effect creating this haunting atmosphere.
This so should have been number 1. Such an amazing song! OMG! It brings me to tears every time I listen to it! Just imagine wanting someone to come to save you from a situation and the person don’t catch on to it! Ahhh man!

Hey, young brother... great song choice. You mentioned "the wind" at the outtro of the song. Actually, on the album, the song segues and flows right into the last song on the album called "The Wind"... so it all flows together. Beautifully produced, arranged and mixed!

Walter Afanassief is the producer and co writer of this track. A masterpiece indeed. He wrote and produced alot on Mariah's early Sony days. I always hoped she would get back with him to create more master pieces but sadly, I am afraid this will never happen. These two are like Aaliyah with Timbaland. The combination was fire!! 🔥
