I'm a Football Fan first, LFC supporter second. But I like to see clubs doing it the 'right' way: Improving Players, supporting Managers, NOT throwing money at it, treating players well regardless of if they are on the up or down, I could go on, but mostly I love the HONESTY that seems to run through the Club. From Brendon Rogers' tenure onwards, I can't fault LFCs actions. I'm so happy my club makes me Proud. We had (by recent standards) a poor season '22/23 but I didn't mind one bit (seriously!) because Jurgen and the Club always talked straight about it, no blame culture, no anger, no panic buys or sackings just a patient build up again. It's an honour and a joy to support LFC.

However, 'dad' definitely got 2 things wrong (others could be mentioned): how he deployed both Grav and Gakpo. Good on you for noticing how good Gakpo has been. For some reason he seems to get very little recognition in the media, pundits or fan channels. Most of the above have all been saying that Diaz is the main forward alongside Salah and it's just about who plays with them🤔 it's definitely Salah and Gakpo who are the first names on the teamsheet. Cody is and has been for a while, our 2nd best at numbers IF HE PLAYS AT LW! Keep in mind, he didn't start any of the first 7 games of the season either! If any of the front 3 get injured it’s not a problem - even Salah (controversial I know). They’ve all stepped up at times this season and had goal contributions - even Chiesa (even though he’s had only a few minutes). I genuinely think their "second 11" is a decent premier league team. Some people would have just about noticed the eye contact Tonali no doubt makes with Gordon as he burst through in stealth mode into the space to finish off the move. No frantic arm waving or pointing ahead from him for the return pass was necessary, which would have alerted the Saints' defence of his intentions. Can also argue Isak was key in developing the play as he also would've also seen the run and elected to chest the ball sideways over to Gordon instead of laying it short and back to the onrushing Italian midfielder (who may have not have been able to control that pass back to him - such was his pace and desire reach the space he obviously saw opening up for him. He even had the time to look across the defence line and to the assistant referee to confirm (not to check, mind you) that he was onside before focusing on beating the keeper. The absolute epitome of cool. Tonali's reading of the game puts him at least one or two moves ahead of everyone else on the pitch, that's for sure. It's like watching a footballer created by AI with a generous add-on of cool, pace, and physicality. As they say in Italian football, Tonali has well and truly 'arrived' PS: ALICE-ECILA deserves a bigger platform. Makes a refreshing change from the sensationalist, expletive-laden and mindless banter passing themselves off as football podcasts these days. Nicely done.
