They are spending money granted but it’s all for a profit buying young players and to sale them for a profit later on. Roman brought ready made stars not kids because he wanted to compete and win titles cups etc on consistent basis year in year out….It’s all just a business to the new regime. They’re not serious.
when given the biggest transfer fund in history pep has built a team that plays fantasy tiki taka. when given the biggest transfer fund in history jose built a really defensive solid boring counter attacking team, where ivanovic is praised for being a great right back for never going forward and just stopping attackers, and where guys like joe cole and robben are benched for not defending enough. it blew my mind at the time how much credit jose got. he had the most money in the history of football but CHOSE to play like stoke, west brom and burnley. his owner wanted fantasy football and kept giving him strikers like torres and shevchenko but jose just wanted clean sheets and put no value on looking good. you cant dominate leagues or comps by being a negative counter attacking reactive team. you also cant do it while sacking the manager every 18 months. so in the end its no surprise that chelsea never built a great 10 year dynasty or something.
@@NeilLewis77”Biggest transfer fund in history” It boggles my mind how people still use the money excuse, are you living in 2014? @Ghjgfjjgv oh dear. You really haven't been paying attention. You think other clubs have out spent city? Really? How much was savino? A prize Brazilian winger coming off the back of a steller season in both la liga and the champions league? If raphina costs 65 and Julio Alvarez costs 85 and Darwin Nunez costs 80, how much did city pay for their 20 year old winger who starts games for Brazil? 50 mill? 60 mill? No he cost 30 mill. Why? Why was he not tired down to a big fat contract with a release clause of about 65 mill? Real Madrid just had to give 62 mill to a little Brazilian club for endrik. So why can city get the same profile of player for 30 mill? Is it because they bought girona? And they bought Troyes? And they bought a big club in America and Australia and they now own the biggest club in Uruguay? City are past buying players. They are buying clubs now. Then cooking the books at those clubs before the transfers get near the premier league. Have you factored how much money man city have spent buying other people's football clubs to use as feeder teams? Or are you just going off the numbers and figures that city give out in public? Because it's been established that we can't trust any numbers that man city claim to actually spend. If you want to pretend that "half the league outspend man city" then you can. But it's a dream world.

Why you at WEF????
i dont always agree with neville but he hit the nail on the head with us. its not just this game, we always fade in games and never adapt on the fly! its lack of experience from the players and the manager too. it is absolutely the next step in our development that needs to happen. i do think we need time to learn that but its been the same problem for the past 10 games or so!
I would like to know why GN was at WEF/Davos recently? Why he supports Starmer enough to interview him on his "stick to football" podcast. Keep out of politics, mate. You kicked a ball for a living. You ain't a social engineer.
he's already deeply involved in politics, he's starmers official link to wkng northerners...Ur looking at the future mayor of Manchester
Gary back from the WEF in davos i see.... He was very quiet there
Lying about not having seen the Lewis-Skelly red is hilarious 😂
He lacks integrity. Clearest sign that they are in cahoots with the PGMOL.
Felt really sorry for Khusanov ngl. A 20 year old being thrown into a big game like this feels like mismanagement but could be a learning experience

Everyone gotta grow up in the ghetto to be allowed to be successful? You are one sour bastard. The A&E comment is redundant, I feel sorry for starving kids but that's a complete different thing.
When Chelsea got taken over in 2003, I expected us to be everything like how Man City are. We have never dominated football like they against our rivals. Feel ashamed to be a Chelsea fan now. 12 games against them since the UCL final & we haven't beaten them since.
Not just them but the top 3 since 2021 under the new ownership we haven’t won a single game in ANY competition, home or away.
Since 2021 Our record against Arsenal is P7 D2 L5
Since 2021 Our record against Liverpool is P10 D6 L4
Since 2021 Our record against Man City is P12 D2 L10
So that’s 29 times we’ve played them 3 and haven’t won a single game. It’s disgusting and knew it when Roman left it was over….like what Paul Merson said a couple of years ago “when you’ve seen such riches, it’s hard to go back to being poor”. I was a season ticket holder from 1996 and I gave that up 2 years ago. I knew it then ….The government stole Romans club and gave it to a pair of prat’s.
They are spending money granted but it’s all for a profit buying young players and to sale them for a profit later on. Roman brought ready made stars not kids because he wanted to compete and win titles cups etc on consistent basis year in year out….It’s all just a business to the new regime. They’re not serious.
@@Anonymous-kq8oh no he was rightly sanctioned
when given the biggest transfer fund in history pep has built a team that plays fantasy tiki taka.
when given the biggest transfer fund in history jose built a really defensive solid boring counter attacking team, where ivanovic is praised for being a great right back for never going forward and just stopping attackers, and where guys like joe cole and robben are benched for not defending enough.
it blew my mind at the time how much credit jose got. he had the most money in the history of football but CHOSE to play like stoke, west brom and burnley. his owner wanted fantasy football and kept giving him strikers like torres and shevchenko but jose just wanted clean sheets and put no value on looking good.
you cant dominate leagues or comps by being a negative counter attacking reactive team.
you also cant do it while sacking the manager every 18 months.
so in the end its no surprise that chelsea never built a great 10 year dynasty or something.
@@NeilLewis77”Biggest transfer fund in history” It boggles my mind how people still use the money excuse, are you living in 2014? City are 11th highest spenders in the past 5 years and how ironic you mention spending money whilst also discussing Chelsea, a billion spent and still can’t get anywhere near a title
City are constantly being outspent by the majority of the league, including mid table clubs yet people still use the money excuse, mind blowing
Also, this is the first time City have spent any money in January since Laporte in like 2018
@Ghjgfjjgv oh dear.

Hes got a defence of being an idiot who you could prod onto any stage though tbf.
Where Neville is smart and fully conscious of what he's doing with who.
It's down to mentality, neither Chelsea (squad) or Maresca have it at the moment. This all started with Maresca accepting Chelsea aren't good enough to win the league and saying stuff like we're behind teams like City Arsenal and Liverpool. You just cannot say that. Chelsea scored first against Fulham, Bournemouth, Palace, Wolves and City, and only won 1 out of those 5 games, Mourinho's Chelsea would laugh at this defence. And that really is the difference Chelsea had leaders back then, now just a bunch of kids with potential.
Spot on
