It's been great living in Japan for 7 years now and I'm doing youtube in Japan😊
I recommend any visitors to join a meetup. It’s a rare opportunity to meet and talk to locals in Japan who like to speak English and meet foreigners.
Thanks for the tip!
How can I find out about them? I'm thinking of visiting Japan at the end of the year. Can you recommend any that are safe for an older woman travelling alone?
I would love to spend a few months in Japan. I hope to do that one day.
Lovely video! After living in Japan for a few years it's easy to fall into the trap of not appreciating the small things that someone coming with a fresh perspective notices. This has inspired me to document my life in Tokyo more and keep trying to make videos that showcase this lovely country to the rest of the world.
Thanks so much! Can't wait to watch your future vlogs! ☺
@JapanJaques what is your RUclips channel?
Such a beautiful country fosho..... The culture, the vibes are absolutely second to none! Definitely a dream country... Beautiful video btw.🌸🫶🏼🩷
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
Welcome to Japan🇯🇵✨
Glad you had a wonderful time in Japan!!
日本に来てくれてありがとう!
Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼
loved the way you've vlogged, beautiful!
Thank you so much!!
The tasteful image editing and music made it feel like I was watching a movie. Thank you for coming to Japan! Please come back to Japan again! Thank you for the beautiful video!😊🇯🇵
Thank you so much! I'm happy you enjoyed it! :)
I'm from Chicago now living in Japan. I love it here.
So cool!! How long have you been living there?
I’m delightful for your positive introducing Japanese daily life ,
especially food, store, transportation, prices and total convention.
Also I love Japan for its cleanliness and kindness of people.
As one of Asian countries, we should learn from Japan , though.
I'm so happy you enjoyed the video. I agree!
Beautiful moments! And so many coffee houses... love it. Thank you.
I'm so happy you enjoyed it! ☺
Very good atmospheric editing.
I enjoyed the images with less talking and more scenery and music flowing unobtrusively!
Thank you very much!
This video was so cool! I went to Tokyo in 2019, and now I plan to go back next year, and it gave me so many ideas to experience the city differently :)
Aww thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! ☺️
y'all really love your coffee!!! great vlog :)
haha yes!! thank you!
Wait yr my dream ! I’m from Chicago and was stationed in Japan for 6 years , I love Japan vlogs. Yr videos are so good 😍😍

Greetings from Costa Rica 🇨🇷
Thanks for watching. I love Costa Rica and have a few videos from there ☺️
My first time watching your vlog. Really enjoyed 😊
Yay! Thank you! 🙏🏼💜
My favorite town is Kuramae which is near Asakusa. Everywhere in the town is a photogenic spot and very cool. Kuramae is also called the Brooklyn of Tokyo.
Oh wow, I didn't know that. Thanks for sharing! ☺️
Am new to your channel and im totally subscribing amazing video! Do you film with a specific camera or just your phone? 💗💗💗
Thank you so much! ☺ I filmed this entirely on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, but I sometimes film/take photos on a Sony a6400.
I just finished watching your video. It beautifully captured ordinary Japanese scenery, reminiscent of the films of Yasujirō Ozu. 日本人としてとても嬉しいです。ありがとうございます。これからも頑張ってください❤
Thank you so much 🥹💜
Thank you for sharing. Glad you enjoyed yourself. I can’t wait to visit.
Thanks for watching! Hope you get to visit soon. 😊
Dope video! Want to go to Japan so bad. You guys sure do drink ALOT of coffee
Thanks!! Haha yes we do.
I’m a new subscriber to your channel & I really enjoyed this vid and read most of comments! You reminded me that I need to upgrade my IPhone 11! 😂 I can’t wait to check out more vlogs from both of you! So unique & inspiration that your remote work gives you this flexibility & enjoyment of actual work! Thank you! ❤
Thanks for your sweet comment ☺️
Haha, it's really incredible what the iPhone can do 😂 I hope you get to upgrade soon!
oh my gosh - this is kinda my dream. we love japan so much! we'd probably stay in Shimokitazawa, since that's our favorite neighborhood!
awww same here! there's no place like it in the world
You better do it quick because it has changed. I helped a friend move there almost 10 years ago and I thought it was awesome. Went last year and it was so commercialized since the last time I was there.
That's so interesting. We went four years ago, and then just this last holiday time. I actually enjoyed it even more this time and found it more fun, better food, more convenient, and just generally loved the atmosphere more. With that being said, there are still very little airbnbs or accommodations there, so you really have to want to stay in the thick of it. To each their own though! @@dayla8634
I went to Tokyo in September and it was still very hot and humid. I hope you had better weather !
I was there in July-August and October-November and personally liked summer weather 😂
soothing video, thank you!
glad you enjoyed it!
Do you ever worry about having language issues or barriers when you travel? How do you manage that?
Of course, it can be challenging/intimidating, but I remind myself I'm not the only one out there doing it. Google translate, and just trying your best are also a big help :)
Even ordinary city scenes are stylish and cool.
Agreed 😊
Welcome fellow Chicagoan! Been here for over 2 years. Nice to see your perspective. I know Osaka is Chicago’s sister city, but haven’t made it there yet. Pretty much everywhere else. All the best!
Wow that's so cool! It's definitely worth a visit. Thanks for watching!
I JUST found your channel, i like coffee too, keep exploring coffee in the world, greeting from Indonesia, we have specialty coffee in here too
Thank you so much! I hope to explore more of Indonesia someday!
The trains are great. It's cool to have emphasized them.
I love trains in Japan 😊
thanks for this lovingly curated and cut video, watched the whole thing, so relaxing and interesting!! :)
Thank you!! I'm so happy you enjoyed it! 🥰
I did the same a few years ago for 2 months and it was a blast.
A dream come true!!
We did one month in Sumida ward it was amazing - 😊 hope you had a good time
Am new to your channel, its great , love the music ,the camera work ,looking forward to the next one
Thank you so much 🥹🙏🏼 new video from Osaka is out now: ruclips.net/video/e6cO7bJXjoU/видео.htmlsi=eEc3RMd2asF6BnqM 💜
It seems like a real Japanese life

Hi. Can you share where you are staying/stayed in Tokyo? Thanks!
This is where we stayed in this vlog: www.booking.com/hotel/jp/yahiro-4-chome-house-1f.es.html
Thank you! The Video is absolutely relaxing and transports me to your journey. How much does the price cost for cafes and food for a day in Tokyo? That would be very helpful , thank you again
I'm so happy you enoyed the vlog. Cafes aren''t too bad comparative to the US (roughly $2.50-3.5 USD at current exchange rate for a latte) and food can be extremely affordable if you eat at local, Japanese restaurants or convenience stores. If you choose western experiences, you will pay more western prices.
Love this video! Are you comfortable sharing where you stayed? Currently looking for short term rentals in Tokyo ❤
i see japan vlog. i subscribed
😂😂 thank you!
What was, roughly, the expenditure in Japan for a month
Thanks for your question. I'll try to come up with the numbers for Japan guide coming soon!
I am glad that you chose a non tourist place, Taiko ku, I believe. Keikyu is elevated in most parts to avoide accidents. So their trains are actually smaller than JR ones.999
ahh that's good to know! thank you!
It’s Taito ku, isn’t it?
🔵 This channel shows you a real life in countryside of Japan 🔵 Amazing 🔵 Why not to move to countryside of Japan 🔵🇯🇵🥸 Amazing peaceful Samurai country 🔵
Maybe someday 🥹
Amazing video! It's easy to romanticize Japan but how could you not! The place is so special. My dream is to go back again for that same length of time. I got a few ideas of places to go which I haven't been to before in Tokyo. Thank you. Looking forward to your Osaka adventures.
Thanks so much for your comment. I hope you get to go back soon 💜
What job do you have that allows you to travel and work remote??? 😮
Thanks for your comment. I'll share more in an upcoming video ☺️
Love these videos! So cool. Do you guys both have remote jobs?
Thank you so much! Yes, we do.
What do you do for remote work? Really trying to live abroad and wanting to go to school to hopefully be able to work remote. Great video 💜
I'll share more in an upcoming video ☺️
❤❤
Wait did they start up Terrace House tv series again or was that a rerun?
Nooo I wish. We watch reruns very often haha!
Out of all the coffee spots which one stood out the most?
Oh, man! There are so many good ones. I loved OFF coffee for a real japanese cafe feel, train views and the taiyaki is unreal. Lattest has delicious, fluffy lattes. Blue Bottle is great for design lovers as every location around Japan is unique (the Kyoto ones are my fave.) But honestly, there are so many more I didn't get to check out that I hope to next time around.
I love that you choose to eat something like a vegan burger. A lot of these videos I watch show people eating meat all the time. It is refreshing to see other food.
I'm so glad you enjoy it!! Japan has some of the best vegan burger I've ever had haha!
a dreamy month in Tokyo 🇯🇵 ❤
The dreamiest ☁️
Can you explain what remote job you both do? Very interested.
Of course - I will in a upcoming video!
Great stuff!
Glad you enjoyed it
what camera are you using? its sooo amazing, i love the way you film your videos! so aesthetic ✨
thank you!! 😊 it’s all filmed on my iPhone 14 pro max. I do adjust the record and exposure settings a little and color grade in Final Cut Pro.
I love your profile pic btw 🥰
Beautiful. I wish I can live for a month in Japan too.
You can do it!!
Wow so beautiful and clean I can see why you like it
Yes 😊
I sense Japanese vibes from you guys. What can I say, you are very modest.
thank you 🥹💜
what month were you around in tokyo? I love the weather, it doesn’t seem to be too hot and too cold either. I’m planning to book my trip around the time you visited, it looks so perfect! 🍃
Also the neighborhood you guys stayed in looks soo laid back and peaceful!
We spent all of October in Tokyo. Overall, it was beautiful weather, and it started to cool down closer to November. I would just plan to bring layers because it was sweater weather for some days, and on others, I definitely needed a jacket, lol.
We stayed off of Yahiro station. The only downside was there were not a lot of restaurants or cafes directly nearby, so we had to walk for about 15-20 minutes or take the train to a stopover. I recommend Hikfune if you want to be near more, and it's only a stopover from where we were closer to Skytree. I also like this area because it's only a few stops from Asakusa.
Thank you!!!! This is so helpful 🤍
You're welcome 💜
summer is very hot and humid
from Japan
I think you are mixing up Tokyo Tower and Skytree. You visited the area around skytree 😊
Thank you for the nice video!!
Haha i know! 🤦🏻♀️ I didn’t realize until after I posted the video haha
What’s the name of the place where you saw that exhibit at minute 29? ❤
It's called DesignInspire In Motion 2023 Tokyo Exhibition, which was held at Rand in Omotesando.
Great, relaxing background music. Who?
Thank you 🙏🏼
日本人です
テラスハウス🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
貴方のチャンネル応援しています‼️

I'll share more in a future video :)

Alway's come back to JPN ♩
Thank you! 🙏🏼 Maybe someday 😊
Good quality video...👍👍👍
Are you using I phone to make this ?...
Yes iPhone 14 Pro Max!
@@olivia.anelise beautiful result...very natural !...
thank you very much!!@@elvislie3661
i’m guessing you’re a fan of coffee?? haha great vid nonetheless , great recommendations for my trip in may !
Haha yes! Japan is the land of cafes so we loved checking them out any chance we got. I’m glad you found it helpful! 🥰
great vlog.
Thank you 🙏🏼
vlogging style 🤌🏼
Thank you 😊💜
i want to eat at marugame udon so badly but i'm super intimidated by the ordering process since i don't speak or read japanese
I completely understand. We ask for the Kake Udon which is the basic udon and you can add toppings of choice and then you get a plate to add whatever tempura you like. Just asking for kake udon we haven’t had any problems. 😂
@@olivia.anelise that's actually so helpful thank you

you're welcome 💜 @@Terrible_Hime
Love Japan too!
The best!
Great vlog. What camera are you using?
iPhone 14 Pro Max 😊
I know it might be a bit difficult to do, but if you were to compare Nyc and Tokyo, which one would you prefer to live in? and which would you recommend someone to move to?
What a great question! I'm going to sit with this and do a video soon! :)
@@olivia.anelise thank you!
How were you able to work remotely? I know most remote positions out of the USA have a country requirement where they track your location. Is this your own business?
Thanks for your comment. I'll share more in an upcoming video, but we are lucky that my partner's company was fully remote before 2020. No, they do not track his location or care where he works from as long as the work is done. I also freelance/create social media content.
How did you find housing?
Airbnb and Agoda.
かっこいい!
🫶🏼
Hey...
First vlogg... I probably would have liked it so much more if the texting was not YELLOW...
Not a chance to read it if you don't pause sometimes.
And if you don't have a mic ,speak up please ! Everyone does not have English as there first language.
Have a good week!
Thanks for the feedback. I'll keep it in mind editing future vlogs.
In this video you showed only coffee shops or restaurants, I'd like to see other places inside the video.
You can check out my other vlogs for more things around Japan if you’d like. 👍🏼
@@olivia.anelise Ok. Thanks
Did you stay in an Airbnb for this? or hotel?
We found it on agoda
🙏🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
In japan, woman can shave her fase at barber.
Womans shaving(dermaplaning) can do at barber is only in japan.
Please experience womans shaving and teach your friend.
What are yall doing for work remotely? If you don't mind answering.
サイゼリア は安いでしょ♪
そして楽しいです! 🎉
....you drink a lot of coffee
Yep lol
You’re not staying near Tokyo tower … you’re staying near Skytree
I realized i got them mixed up after posting the vlog lol. Thanks for catching that.
great vlog, but that part with music with korean lyrics felt like a disrespect to japanese culture
No disrespect. i know it’s Korean. I just liked the song/vibe. I can’t find any songs in Japanese on the platform I use for music.
It’s a polite idea to blur out peoples faces when you’re out filming :)
