How can I find out about them? I'm thinking of visiting Japan at the end of the year. Can you recommend any that are safe for an older woman travelling alone?
Lovely video! After living in Japan for a few years it's easy to fall into the trap of not appreciating the small things that someone coming with a fresh perspective notices. This has inspired me to document my life in Tokyo more and keep trying to make videos that showcase this lovely country to the rest of the world.
I’m delightful for your positive introducing Japanese daily life , especially food, store, transportation, prices and total convention. Also I love Japan for its cleanliness and kindness of people. As one of Asian countries, we should learn from Japan , though.
Of course, it can be challenging/intimidating, but I remind myself I'm not the only one out there doing it. Google translate, and just trying your best are also a big help :)
My favorite town is Kuramae which is near Asakusa. Everywhere in the town is a photogenic spot and very cool. Kuramae is also called the Brooklyn of Tokyo.
The tasteful image editing and music made it feel like I was watching a movie. Thank you for coming to Japan! Please come back to Japan again! Thank you for the beautiful video!😊🇯🇵
This video was so cool! I went to Tokyo in 2019, and now I plan to go back next year, and it gave me so many ideas to experience the city differently :)
You better do it quick because it has changed. I helped a friend move there almost 10 years ago and I thought it was awesome. Went last year and it was so commercialized since the last time I was there.
That's so interesting. We went four years ago, and then just this last holiday time. I actually enjoyed it even more this time and found it more fun, better food, more convenient, and just generally loved the atmosphere more. With that being said, there are still very little airbnbs or accommodations there, so you really have to want to stay in the thick of it. To each their own though! @@dayla8634
I just finished watching your video. It beautifully captured ordinary Japanese scenery, reminiscent of the films of Yasujirō Ozu. 日本人としてとても嬉しいです。ありがとうございます。これからも頑張ってください❤
Welcome fellow Chicagoan! Been here for over 2 years. Nice to see your perspective. I know Osaka is Chicago’s sister city, but haven’t made it there yet. Pretty much everywhere else. All the best!
Amazing video! It's easy to romanticize Japan but how could you not! The place is so special. My dream is to go back again for that same length of time. I got a few ideas of places to go which I haven't been to before in Tokyo. Thank you. Looking forward to your Osaka adventures.
I am glad that you chose a non tourist place, Taiko ku, I believe. Keikyu is elevated in most parts to avoide accidents. So their trains are actually smaller than JR ones.999
I’m a new subscriber to your channel & I really enjoyed this vid and read most of comments! You reminded me that I need to upgrade my IPhone 11! 😂 I can’t wait to check out more vlogs from both of you! So unique & inspiration that your remote work gives you this flexibility & enjoyment of actual work! Thank you! ❤
Thank you! The Video is absolutely relaxing and transports me to your journey. How much does the price cost for cafes and food for a day in Tokyo? That would be very helpful , thank you again
I'm so happy you enoyed the vlog. Cafes aren''t too bad comparative to the US (roughly $2.50-3.5 USD at current exchange rate for a latte) and food can be extremely affordable if you eat at local, Japanese restaurants or convenience stores. If you choose western experiences, you will pay more western prices.
🔵 This channel shows you a real life in countryside of Japan 🔵 Amazing 🔵 Why not to move to countryside of Japan 🔵🇯🇵🥸 Amazing peaceful Samurai country 🔵
Oh, man! There are so many good ones. I loved OFF coffee for a real japanese cafe feel, train views and the taiyaki is unreal. Lattest has delicious, fluffy lattes. Blue Bottle is great for design lovers as every location around Japan is unique (the Kyoto ones are my fave.) But honestly, there are so many more I didn't get to check out that I hope to next time around.
what month were you around in tokyo? I love the weather, it doesn’t seem to be too hot and too cold either. I’m planning to book my trip around the time you visited, it looks so perfect! 🍃 Also the neighborhood you guys stayed in looks soo laid back and peaceful!
We spent all of October in Tokyo. Overall, it was beautiful weather, and it started to cool down closer to November. I would just plan to bring layers because it was sweater weather for some days, and on others, I definitely needed a jacket, lol. We stayed off of Yahiro station. The only downside was there were not a lot of restaurants or cafes directly nearby, so we had to walk for about 15-20 minutes or take the train to a stopover. I recommend Hikfune if you want to be near more, and it's only a stopover from where we were closer to Skytree. I also like this area because it's only a few stops from Asakusa.
thank you!! 😊 it’s all filmed on my iPhone 14 pro max. I do adjust the record and exposure settings a little and color grade in Final Cut Pro. I love your profile pic btw 🥰
I completely understand. We ask for the Kake Udon which is the basic udon and you can add toppings of choice and then you get a plate to add whatever tempura you like. Just asking for kake udon we haven’t had any problems. 😂
I know it might be a bit difficult to do, but if you were to compare Nyc and Tokyo, which one would you prefer to live in? and which would you recommend someone to move to?
I love that you choose to eat something like a vegan burger. A lot of these videos I watch show people eating meat all the time. It is refreshing to see other food.
@@olivia.anelise I'm curious about this too... My employer currently allows me to work anywhere remotely and I'm considering maybe going to Japan and and remote work there for maybe a month but I'm not sure about how much it would cost roughly 😅
