The doctor is the best character also the one I feel bad for the most he just wanted to help people but the visitors destroyed the hospital he was working at man just wants to help people in a world of suffering
Tall Homie really is a good Red Herring. Right out the gate, he's upfront about his temper and how it got him kicked out of the bar he was squatting in. This immediately puts you on edge that he could be the first encounter with a Visitor. It doesn't help that he's very confrontational about being checked and all the *_"Signs"_* FEMA says to look out for. And yet, he not only ends up being human, he's probably the most level-headed individual who comes to the Shack outside of maybe The Bald Wanderer and The Doctor.
@@Jamushu to me, a visitor is going to hide their aggression til it's too late so tall dude was pretty much an immediate OK to me. i liked that he seemed bitter and angry toward the visitors for attacking mankind, made it feel like they had a fighting chance if it had people like him still about
It reminds me of my childhood where I grew up in a house on a hill with a radius of a flowery field and man made beehives the beekeepers asked permission to place and a wall of tall fir trees on left and a bit on back side of the house right side where old neighbor houses can be seen in the distance and a short walk right to the lake at the front of the house a family of beavers live there cause walking around the lake you would see chewed tree stumps it would take 20-ish minutes just to walk to the back of the forested lake with farm fields surrounding the back there were lots field berries, berries near the lake, and mushrooms in the fir forest.
Dont know why i enjoy this song so much. It's like finding a sliver of happiness in a sea of existential dread. Feels kinda nostalgic too? Makes me smile and tear up a little.
He really was the most memorable human to visit your house. Not only was he the first one to knock, he was always honest about everything from start to finish.

Atmosphere in this game is phenomenal. I love the part when our character look out the window and text explaining how our character feels, it’s so well written, everything is well written really. Also, characters design is uncanny as hell.
this song is either nostalgia or there is nothing left everything has been destroyed and there is no hope left...just sitting there waiting for your enviable demise
I really do love this game. The artstyle, the dialogue, characters and music...everything is just perfect. Theres such a thick cloud of dread and uncertainty that hangs over it all- the ambience is incredibly well done
Honestly, the only person who's truly felt humanized is the tall man. An honest person who admitted he got problems but also never afraid to speak his mind out, when he heard that you need to check him for his teeth and eyes he's clearly visibly aggressive about it because it's a clear violation of his privacy. Every normal person would feel that way, especially when you learn and understand that finding these "Non-Humans" entity through the flawless and flaw of a man can be questionable. Especially when you take into count that disability are a thing, as well dental cleaning.
spot on, i watched a lot of people play the demo, and paying close to attention to dialogue will give away who is a visitor and some players just ignored that...
The song has an eery vibe. Something is not right. Something dark and terrible, and yet mysterious and something we cant understand. And simultaneously it reflects our temporary safety, and calm, in our house, while the world is ending, we are still safe in our home. But for how long?
ive see some people commenting the same, maybe the music is a forgotten genre from that era or even earlier, such a great song, also the game is being made by people some Russia so that must be the secret ingredient lol
@@cellP8 Idk, the devs are Russian I think. So the whole art style and interior of the building screams commie block. This song has really similar sounds to the old Soviet era background songs you'd hear in media, but a little more depressing
Noo. It's a music of Russian distant provincial towns. Idk if foreigners could feel it, but it's like a feeling of eternal coziness with your beloved people in the country with air soaked in hopelessness
I'm going to leave this comment here to say, that even in the darkest moments of life there is always hope even if you can't see it, it's there, whether it's a loved one, or a dream. You must never let the horrible feelings or thoughts consume you, life is full of endless possibilities, and I hope you find the ones that bring you the light that will make you happy 😊 (Sorry if I came off as too preachy, y'all can tell me off in the comments it's alright lol)
Its so relaxing and safe, while simultaneously feeling eerie, ominous and hopeless almost like something bad is coming, it caught my attention as it has opposite feelings stuck together to make a masterpiece of a song. I wish it was available on Spotify
This track broke me. I have horrible anxiety and existential dread that can sometimes lead to dissociation and this music captures it so well. Its seemingly comforting, but something is off. Its temporary. Nothing is ever truly nice... "These people smile weirdly, am I in danger? Are they judging me? Was I worth their time? Will it go away? Am I real? Is this a dream? Will I wake up?- "
Damn man, my best advice to tackle anxiety is to feel comfort in people whether they ignore you or pay attention. I used to have a similar problem although the best bet is to understand that people do not think the way we perceive. Understand Anxiety can be a benefit to your reputation if used correctly. Anxiety and thoughts taught me many things. I only rarely create oppositions now that I always think of what other people may be going through or thinking of me. Being social is hard but being respectful is one of our main strengths. I hope this helps. I can talk forever on this topic but I’ll leave it here.

I feel like he's one of those people who were misunderstood all his life and is finding solace in the fact at least when the world is ending someone finally "opened up" to him. Maybe he even feels a bit of peace in the fact that the world's turned so upside down that he doesn't even feel out of place anymore
