  • My journey to Tamiya Head Office in Shizuoka, Japan. After a flight about 13 hours we arrived in Tokyo. Then we took the Shinkansen (High Speed Train) to Shizuoka. After this we saw different places in Tokyo, Akihabara, Shibuya, Ginza, Sky Tree, Tokyo Beach, Asakusa and Ikebukuro. Very awesome City and Country, and friendly people!

    Nice to see the JPS F1 car with the logo intact.

    Another great and interesting video, Matteo!
    We could watch TAMIYA for ages!
    While Lego for example becomes more and more annoying, TAMIYA has become compared to f. ex. the 1980-ies even better. They improved for instance The Frog and others. TAMIYA is repecting their fans and deliver them what they want. TAMIYA is just awesome! Of course people go and start all over again. Please, TAMIYA, bring the re-issue of the Falcon and crank up the production of The Big Wig. Thank you very much!

    Check out that mint looking RC Blackfoot, I still have mine with the Acoms radio although it doesn't look anywhere as nice as that, just need a new battery. Could spend all day in there for sure. Loved the full size Sand Scorcher. Great vid.

      I just never imagined it to be this awesome. For some reason, as a kid I didn't even dream about one day visiting the place. You did all of us a huge favour by placing this awesome image in our heads, and a massive dose of nostalgia kicked in. So much so, that I've just ordered my first RC Car as a kid... The Grasshopper! Being from 77, seeing Tamiya still active warms my heart, and even more so knowing there are so many out there who share this nostalgia today. :)

    Wow, what a place thanks for sharing! At first I thought; 'oh no, no Sandscorcher, my first RC car'. Then the real Sandscorcher and RC model - wow! Shame they didn't have the Wild One, always thought that was a nice scaler type model, my mate had one. What a place though, original boxes, artwork, box art models etc etc. My mind is blown!

      ***** you know it's funny, when i was younger i had the super sabre. However, i always wanted the avante. I hear that Tamiya have made a 2011 avante. Perhaps my chance to get the car I never had but always dreamt of is now a real possibility lol

    • @Matteomeier
      @Matteomeier  9 лет назад

      moosehak Yes, that's exactly my experience! Wanted as kid the Bruiser so bad but could not afford one. And now Tamiya bring back the old classics so we have a second chance!
