I fell in love with Japan when we went over there. Such beautiful architecture even in city and everything in order, especially the countryside is amazing.
I always wanted to visit there when I was a kid. I made a special journey years later and made nice friends at the race track and a local couple. What a lovely town and great experience.
My first real RC car was the Tamiya Frog. It got me into RC back in 87. Seeing it in that glass case made me tear up. Thanks for posting this, I wouldnt have thought to visit here on my next trip to japan next year. Now I am! Thanks!
That place is awesome. I don't think I would be able to leave there without buying at-least 1 RC car or truck kit or spending too much money. Great video Matteo!
I've been to japan in summer 2013 I've visited Tokyo ,Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Nagoya and Mount Fuji but damn never crossed my mind to visit Tamiya's headquarters. Great country and the people are friendly too.
Abdulla Alsada Yes, I agree, I was many times in Japan for business, and at last I like to go only for me... and visited many nice places and Tamiya. Thanks for your comment!
Grew up in the 80's as a kid. Many things in this video brought back memories. That full sized Sand Scorcher looked incredible. Nicely done video too! Thank you!
Practically a museum! So cool. This was the first video of yours I ever saw, when I was just getting back into the RC scene. Thanks for keeping us entertained and informed Matteo!
After watching this video a dozen times, I finally got to go myself. What an amazing place! Thank you for sharing how amazing this place is, I wouldn't have known about it without you.

Thanks a lot for your nice comment! You was a lucky kid! If you are interested in his Hilux maybe this video is something for you: ruclips.net/video/dU95ByEKpc0/видео.html
to be honest tamiya is my second favorite rc cars. right after kyosho. because kyosho made realistic design and advance features than any other rc cars you see today.
Good, Kyosho is my second brand, and I love it too. But back in the 80es, my parents bought me a Tamiya, since then my heart beats for Tamiya. But I like Kyosho produces boats and airplanes also! Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for the video. Just returned from Japan vacation, fantastic ! Curious, how much was the taxi from terminal to Tamiya bldg. ? Can't wait to revisit this wonderful country. Thanks again .
When I was young I had the Tamiya Grasshopper TAM58346 then I bought the Tamiya Monster Beetle TAM58618 that was the most happiest time of my life, specifically when I changed the stock engine of the Grasshopper from a Mabushi RS380 to the Mabushi RS540, that buggy was a bullet!
Just to say I visited again a few weeks ago, still a great place, but the big Hobby Square advert as you exit onto the Shinkansen platform has gone!!! But there is a big Tamiya advert on the opposite side - Phew.As we entered and met the person on the front desk, she thanked us for visiting, I love the Japanese people, and the shop was just as good with discounts for purchases that you can redeem on items there and then.I hope I will visit again soon.
Another great video. Tamiya has a long history, it's nice to see they respect their past with the old models on display and the real cars too. I hope they thanked you for all the models that your videos have sold for them. There are 2 CC-01 kits in New Jersey that I know we're bought because of your videos. :-)
crawlervideo Danke für deinen Kommentar! Ja, ist halt nicht gleich um die Ecke... Leider haben wir sonst von RC Aktivitäten nicht viel mitgekriegt, waren halt auch nur einen halben Tag bei Tamiya.
I need a whole front and for a king Blackfoot I wish you could come out with that truck again that truck was the best truck you made the Blackfoot family You could beat those trucks to death I need a front end please comment back what front and is compatible with the king Blackfoot please let me know thank you very much
***** you know it's funny, when i was younger i had the super sabre. However, i always wanted the avante. I hear that Tamiya have made a 2011 avante. Perhaps my chance to get the car I never had but always dreamt of is now a real possibility lol

Makes me feel awesome watching this video. Great music. I will visit this tamiya mega building one day but till then. I'll keep watching this video. Thanks for sharing. Aloha from HAWAII
Check out that mint looking RC Blackfoot, I still have mine with the Acoms radio although it doesn't look anywhere as nice as that, just need a new battery. Could spend all day in there for sure. Loved the full size Sand Scorcher. Great vid.

Oh my Gods... I had no idea I wanted to visit that place until you showed it to me! It was an amazing video thank you so much for sharing! Best video ever on RUclips!
I just never imagined it to be this awesome. For some reason, as a kid I didn't even dream about one day visiting the place. You did all of us a huge favour by placing this awesome image in our heads, and a massive dose of nostalgia kicked in. So much so, that I've just ordered my first RC Car as a kid... The Grasshopper! Being from 77, seeing Tamiya still active warms my heart, and even more so knowing there are so many out there who share this nostalgia today. :)
The wide range of models and how good they look has always caught my eye. I am an American muscle car guy but I want the Tamiya Honda CRX it's just too cool.
Been there in 2006, your video brought back the great memory. Nothing much have changed except they have showcased some later models that were released after 2006. Excellent video!
This is so wonderful. Thank you for sharing. I just bought my first rc truck for me and my son. We got the other popular brandname then have been checking your videos and already subscribed so, maan! I'm sold..we will get at least 3 Tamiya models from now until Christmas...wow, man! I'm getting addicted to this! Thanks Matteo!
Wow, what a place thanks for sharing! At first I thought; 'oh no, no Sandscorcher, my first RC car'. Then the real Sandscorcher and RC model - wow! Shame they didn't have the Wild One, always thought that was a nice scaler type model, my mate had one. What a place though, original boxes, artwork, box art models etc etc. My mind is blown!
Wow am speechless your very lucky to have gone there... So many plains and projects with work and everyday life i need to make this a priority to visit this faculty...thanks a million for sharing...
