Step Right Up and Slime Them Down!
Number of players: 1 - 12
Objective: Shoot down the tower of buckets using your slime gun.
Components: Slime guns, 12 buckets
Additional components required: a pen and paper or smartphone to keep score.
Set up: Arrange the buckets in a triangle tower on the far edge of a table. Place 4 buckets on the bottom row, and finish with 1 bucket on top (as shown below).
Mark a shooting line approximately 15ft (5m) away from the bucket tower. This is where players will shoot from. The distance can be varied depending on the age group or skill level. If all 10 buckets are consistently knocked down by all players, move the line further away from the target.
Who starts: Flip a coin, roll a dice (highest number wins), or play scissors paper rock to determine an order of play.
How to play:
Each turn consists of two blasts of the slime gun.
On your turn, load your slime gun full of slime and with one big blast, attempt to knock down as many buckets as you can.
Reload your gun and take a second shot, attempting to shoot down any remaining buckets.
Score one point for each bucket knocked over. At the end of the round have the scorekeeper record your score.
Winning the game: After each player has played 3 rounds, the player with the most points is the winner. If scores are tied, the players that are tied on the highest points play an extra round. Take a few steps further back from the targets to make it more challenging for the tie breaker rounds.
Game variation: Play the game the same way, but rather than using slime guns, players get to use slime balloons to knock down the target. Throw the slime balloons at the targets like a baseball pitcher. The number of balloons thrown per round can also be varied based on the age and skill level of the participants (e.g. younger players may get three balloons per round, while older players may only get 2 or 1).
