Hope you're enjoying the wheels! I also have the 51s, bought mine last summer. Drove 5 hours to get my hands on a set. Love them- instant love. I couldn't believe how quiet they were on my first ride out- just the hum of the tire. Converted them to tubeless for this riding season with the Bontrager R3 and upgraded to the 36T ratchet. The lower pressure soaks up all the imperfections in the road and gives you a buttery smooth ride.

I just ordered a set of these for my Emonda. I wanted the ZIPP wheels but it’s hard to find them in stock. I’m also going to change out the star ratchet as well. Thanks for that tip!

Excellent review. I have a question though regarding the ratchets in the rsl series if you know anything about those ones? Would I need to upgrade the ratchets in those so the wheel would catch quicker?

Yes the Zipp NSW’s ARE NICE‼️ But they do cost. I’m very happy with my 51s, absolutely zero complaints.

I picked up my tubes from my local bike shop. They are Vittoria latex tubes. The stems are 42mm but I’m running extenders.

Do you know what kind of hub it has? If it’s a DT Swiss I believe the stock ratchet is 18T. The 18T has 20% of play before engagement.
