It's a shame this video has half the views of Maria's other ones because it's one of the best ASMR videos out there. Her voice and pitch are spot-on, it's super relaxing, and it's also informative.

Wonderful asmr,thank you for the big goose bumps! but to such a phenomenon as Russia it has a very remote relationship,fortunately or unfortunately... How is it that people living at a relatively short distance from each other,know almost nothing about their neighbors except archaic marker representations. In Russia there is a tragedy(it seems it did not stop almost in time). European in their mentality people are in humiliating relative to the rest of the developed world position. Poverty,abused human rights by government structures. And this applies to all,not only living there,because the space of life is one.

i'm so interested in russia and its culture since im american and we are so indoctrinated to assume russia is the "bad guy" or at least we were. Movies, Tv, etc the james bond bad guy is always stereotypical russian. its sad and ignorant to generalize a whole culture like that. im sure there was a lot of anti american propaganda as well for russian people.. so instead let's actually learn about each other! EXCELLENT VIDEO. now ill probably be put on some red list for my interest but oh well comrades ;)

A free capitalist russia where people can live and think as they wish and buy what they wish is good for both themselves and the world. Unfortunately what has passed was a czarist then communist russia where individual freedoms and rights were nonexistant which was horrific for the russians and awful for the rest of the world. I dont blame or have bad feelings for russians as a whole because the things that created the absolute authority of the czarist state and the crushing authoritarianism and the staggering social and economic failures of communism were largely out of their control.

Because of this video I looked to see if there was any in my area. I ended up finding The Russian Turkish Bath House and it was amazing. It had so many different rooms where you go from hot to cold. They even had a jacuzzi that pumped salt water straight from the beach! It was an incredible relaxing experience and I plan on doing it after any stressful event I may work at in the future. Thank you for educating us on such an amazing practice, if it wasn't for you I would have never found it

I'm going to tell you what I truly admire about Russians. For most of their history, the Russian people have been constantly struggling, and it would seem that life constantly hands these folks lemons, but they know how to make it lemonade... I doubt if 10% of the American population would be able to survive without the comforts we take for granted here, and the Russians and many other people across the world, live without...
Funny thing is, the comforts we take for granted have only been around for a short time. For most of our brief history as a nation we’ve had countless struggles and managed to overcome them. I think what makes our perception different than other nations is that we have an optimistic attitude that seems almost naive. Like we stubbornly look ahead instead of looking back at what once was.

So nice to see you back Maria and a lovely informative video too as well as highly relaxing. I don't see your Russian cultures being any quirkier than some that we have in England. For instance we also have Pancake day however we just make them in our homes. There's a tradition in Gloucestershire of cheese rolling whereby you roll a cheese down a hill and chase it.

Okay, that's a wonderful idea. Two groups of men, fighting, just to release the aggression that's been building up. Really, what a great idea, everyone gets a release, they feel more relaxed, and they're good to go. Why don't we do something like that here? Without the cops being called, people suing over broken noses and guns being pulled. Seriously, I think it would be a terrific stress relieve. sometimes it does feel good to unload on someone. Lol when my brothers and I were younger we had a pit that we dug out and did exactly that. We would sometimes fight for hours straight, we would have bloody noses and all kind of bruses. But despite our fighting, it would always bring us closer together as brothers. As I always say, the strongest bonds are forged in the fires of war.

I love how a normal sauna is close to around 120° but a banya is just Russians saying a normal sauna isn't rough enough let's make it hotter and slap eachother with bushes and then immediately dive into freezing water

these traditions seem so cool. this is one of my fav ASMR videos and i definitely want to try Banya, winter swimming, and Maslenitsa pancakes yum. i’d love to visit Russia one day. every place on this planet is so interesting, and i can’t believe we have even more to explore in the ocean, and in space. so cool.

my children are Ukrainian and they love the Russian culture even thobtheir grandmother does not usually speak much about it. I think its unusual how much love they have for Ukrain and Russia being so young and not exposed to much, I belive it is in their spirit. They have an undeniable pride and love for their origins and I love it. and love learning more about it, to teach to them. Thank You.
