      Steph A and Max are just people who watch the game their entire life, they are no diff from bunch of old guys in corner agruing bout basketball. they all have is a bigger platform to do it. i rather listen to Ex nba players.

      @Peewyld 4 года назад +8

      @@14KroshTV you are right about max, You are wrong about stephen a... and hears why, that argument could be used against Stephen A 15 years ago maybe. today Stephen A is respected (maybe not liked but that is because he tells the truth, they respected him becuase he says it to their face as well) by everyone in the NBA and is literally the definition of an insider. Why do you think first take got the melo interview, the durant interview etc etc the guy is much much much much much different than a bunch of old guys bud, in fact he is better to listen to than nba players because most ex nba players wont say things to hurt there friends and will say other things just because they didnt like a certain guy or team.

    Oddly enough, the fact that many older players hate Steph is in itself an expression of respect. It shows that they realize that Steph has materially changed the modern game of basketball and has been high successful. If Steph had all this shooting ability, but never won a championship, he would NOT be hated. Laughed at, pitied, marveled at. But not hated.

      Do you know that being "correct" or "factual" criticism really doesn't bring the ratings? It's gossip and controversy.
      Gossip and Controversy brings in viewers because it "triggers" them. It brings in more viewers. More Viewers = more people = more publicity = more advertisement opportunities.
      No wonder Lebron is always the golden boy of the league because the media "glorifies" him so much and it triggers factual, correct, objective fans. More disagreement = more conflict = more people will discuss = more argument = more subject will be brought up.
      That's how media works. It sells narrative not facts. It's about money now not the truth.
      Basic psychology and basic economics.

    That's the thing. Steph played the game in his own way, fit for his size, his strengths, his skills. However, most NBA players played the game to "be like Mike".
    Kobe wants to be Mike, Lebron wants to be Mike, almost all NBA players wants to be like Mike.
    But Steph created his own path, a trailblazer, and managed to changed the game Forever.

      Yeah because Mike was actually exciting to watch. It isn't exciting watching someone chuck up 3's all game long. It isn't fun to watch. I can only imagine how much less fun it is to actually play against. These players play to win, but they also wanna have fun doing what they love. Curry takes all the fun out of the game

      It’s also the legacy narrative, the one that’s pushed by the NBA itself.
      The 2016 finals is remembered for Kyrie hitting a 3 *with over a minute left* in game7. But, the story has *Never* has the story been pushed as: “Steph missed 2, wide open, potentially game winning shots when his team really needed him, and couldn’t carry his 73 win team the previous closeout games”
      That biased narrative, pushed by the NBA and its broadcasting partners, is what gets to other players who are treated differently. Shouldn’t those finals be remembered as a Steph choke job?
      It’s the exact same reason Pippen wanted out of Chicago after the ‘91 championship. He was undoubtedly the 2nd best player on the court during their entire run. So, now the NBA and it’s media arm could stop solely blaming him for MJ choking the year before against Detroit, and he could finally move away from the media circus in Chicago.
