Interesting, but distracting from the get go as all the commentators were trying to avoid eating the microphone the interviewer was shoving in their faces! Especially the poor fella at the start explaining the balls, having to dodge it left right and centre!!! 🤣
It’s the slate cut combined with the new cloth on the cushion that makes the balls slide in after hitting a cushion. If played at pocket speed they will drop
SOAB!!!! So close to finally getting an answer. So they've stopped modifying the pockets since 1990 then.... But why not tell us if the openings or shelves/slate falls have shrunk or enlarged since the 80's :P I suppose I could freeze frame old games and measure it to scale.
im sorry to say i watch a lot ov snooker and been playing a long time a object ball should never go into a pocket after hitting a cushion so its a load ov rubbish say these tables are tighter than club tables .
Have you ever played on a tournament table? There are a few dotted around the U.K. (eg. There’s one in the Northern Snooker Centre in Leeds). I can 100% assure you it’s tighter than a standard club table. The difference is night and day.
Vivian Price I have played on a TV table and the pocket is a lot tighter and cloth is so fine any side on the white the white will drift. what Ronnie does on these tables is nothing short of a miracle

Priceless info. Great insight.
I never could tolerate Rob Walker. Also. Sticking the microphone in his face looks great 👍🏼

Reg Dunn I played on a TV table 87,88 and I can say the pocket was very tight so I doubt it got any tighter. coz u wouldn't pot a ball
Thank you for the video! Very interesting.
Does the tv enlarge the pockets to the human eye
Amazing video!
Joe Davis made a 147 was one of the 1st to do it if not the 1st
James Adcock I think he referred to in game or competitive situation, you are right however he did make a 147.

I am from Australia and I agree with the statement. We first take the wool of the sheep then the animal get slaughtered to eat!!
