    Thanks a ton, Professor. Completed the sec playlist in 3 days (at 2x, took written notes, I have experience in field as well) and passed the exam today with 772. Had some practice tests as well. Good luck to anyone attempting.

      @@manu-punjaban Sure, though it depends on what your level of expertise or lack thereof is. If you don't have any experience at all, depending on whether you're in school or a self-study, it might help to look to getting your A+ and Net+ certificates first, both of which Prof. Messer teaches. Those will give you a base for what hardware does and how to troubleshoot it, as well as networking concepts that are going to be useful in getting into Sec+, which is going to build on those and improve the basic concepts that you have. You'll also be introduced to a lot of new topics for security in general. Additionally work experience would be helpful in learning as well.

    He isn't saying to not study about port numbers but just know that there aren't any questions on the test that explicitly ask you what a port is for.

    Great video! Out of curiosity is the Security + exam open resources? In other words can you have notes or other test prep resources open while you take the online version of the exam?

    • @quantumitalian9419
      @quantumitalian9419 9 месяцев назад

      Just to let you know, having just completed the course, no, you cannot have any notes with you in the exam hall or online as far as I'm aware. They provide a blank sheet and something to write with, the rest is on you to remember.
